Thank goodness the work day is nearly over - I've been teetering on the edge of either crying or screaming for much of the day, and about the only thing that's kept me sane was popping on the boards!

For some reason the chief exec seems to think that a) I didn't need to be informed that my administrator had phoned in sick this morning and b) that I should be doing her admin today! This is despite the fact that there was an administrator in the office, plus a coordinator (I'm a manager supposedly!) and I was having to do my own admin whilst writing all the quarterly reports!

Right, finally got my monthly statements through from Egg & M&S so I knew the actual minimum payments rather than my own estimates - thankfully I'd overestimated both of them, which is great as it means slightly more towards HSBC this month.

I'm keep a running total of how much extra I'm putting towards it this month (with a diary reminder to transfer it!) and it's not going too bad...

HSBC CC was: £596.78 - minimum DD £17 & extra from wages £297.70
= £282.08 left to raise this month

So far I've got and extra £19.09 (work expenses & underestimated mins on other CCs) leaving me £262.99 to find, ideally before next payday. I'm going to phone the tax office to chase my £50 rebate, I've got to finish counting up my old change jars to pay in, which should hopefully be about £10, but the rest I've got to make somehow - Ebay here I come!

I second hypno's suggestion of a car boot sale although I've had my boxes packed(several of them still in the boot:rotfl: ), since before the bad weather over 2 weeks ago. Still waiting for the fields to dry out a bit before venturing out to do one. How can you tell, I'm a fair-weather booter:o

    Good Luck

I could do a car boot - but as with lots of people on here I think the weather needs to be better, and not just because I don't want to stand in the rain, but because less people will turn out, stuff will get wet etc etc. I'm also not sure if I've got enough for a car boot to be honest - a lot of the stuff I've got to flog is clothes etc, which others have said don't tend to go that well...

Anyway, counted up my change jars last night and banked £9 in coppers this morning :T which leaves me £253.99 to hit my target... Today should be a NSD though as working late until 8pm, and got food with me, so when I get home it will just be watching a bit of TV & bed I think!

Good news with the coppers jar - all helps! I have bagged up £6 but want it to be a little more before I take it to the bank.

And a NSD is good news too :T

Hmm, well in the words of Mr Tesco 'every little helps' and the 2 small payments that PayPal sent to verify my bank account arrived and have added (drum roll please) 29p! :rotfl:

Oh well, beggars can't be choosers & all that!

Hey, 29p is pretty good - I got excited about adding 9p of unexpected bank interest (must have been in credit at some point!!) to my spreadsheet!!

29p..........2 packs of instant noodles.........almost 2 chocolate freddo frogs.......a curly wurly and 9p change.....the possibilities are endless!!

Well, it's going towards the HSBC credit card, but I put it on my spreadsheet with great excitement! It now reads as follows:

    £596.78 o/s - minimum DD £17
    TARGET: £579.78

    £297.70 from main wages
    £9.60 from expenses
    £0.56 from M&S est min
    £8.93 from Egg est min
    £9.00 from coppers
    £0.29 from Paypal

    Running Total: £326.08
    Left to get: £253.70

This weekend has *got* to be a big Ebay weekend I've decided - I sooo want to get the card paid off in full, and don't want to have to use my pay at the end of July...though the other option was to raid my £2 savings...

OK, here's the question - I've been saving my £2 coins since January, with the aim of them paying for me to go walking in Scotland for my holiday. So far I've got £92 sitting there, which will be definitely cutting it fine considering I've got to get up there, probably train or bus to where I want to walk plus staying in hostels each night for a week.

Do I just leave a holiday this year completely?

Work has been so horrible this year that I really want to take the time off and get away somewhere - I could do long weekends with various friends, but that's about it.

I reckon I need to get at least another £100-£200 for the walking holiday I was planning and if the car goes through the MOT OK next month then I might have this in my 'car stuff' account - or should I put this towards the debt?

Get your backside on holiday. It's not sounding like the most expensive thing in the world, and crappy time at work will make you appreciate it more.

Just make sure you enjoy yourself, or there will be slapped legs when you come back...
