morning all,
never achieved much of what i was planning yesterday so yesterdays jobs have been carried over to today and another big list of things that i have been meaning to do for months, they are mostly silly wee jobs that take minutes but i have been putting them off for ever.
wm, td and bm are all on so far.
have to go out later to the day hospital as i have an appointment there just hoping that they will let me return to work soon.
i really must sort out the budget today and order some central heating oil as we are getting a little low.
happy anniversary mr and mrs mix.
happy birthday to anyone celebrating and big hugs to those in need
have a fabulous friday everyone

Good Morning Everyone! And what a cool crisp Friday morning it is!
Happy Australia Day to any money saving friends from Oz! And Happy Anniversary to Mr & Mrs Mix!!!
Well I am at work (have been for the last 45 minutes) I guess I really need to get a life!
I've got to say, from reading through the posts there seems to be a lot of people having problems sleeping for one reason or another, hope you all get a good nights sleep soon! Try making sure you have at least one hour to yourself when you can turn your brain off and just relax before going to bed!
No big plans for today, just work, work and more work, Fridays are always busy days, something always goes wrong or breaks!
I think tonight needs to be a chill out night as I am working my weekend job tomorrow and Sunday so I think an easy dinner, chocoloate, wine, bath and then a movie before bed..... in the words of Bananarama.... "Robert De Niro's Waiting!"
Have a great day and a great weekend everyone!!!!0 -
Good Morning!
Seems a bit milder here today.
My nurse did call back yesterday and said that all the lymphoma consultants were out of the hospital, so she was unable to talk to them. However, she did say that it would be a good idea to put my complaint in writing about the way I was treated on Monday, as it's not the first time she's had feedback like mine.
I got all my jobs done yesterday that I wanted to, plus I managed to clean DS2's footie boots too.
Just after tea, MIL arrived and screamed and shouted at me for half an hour - just what I needed. Fortunately, hubby stuck up for me. Unfortunately, the kids witnessed it all. When she left, DS1 called her a b*tch(!), and DS2 wanted to know if this meant he wasn't going to get a birthday present from her. I was shaking from head to foot when she left  . At the end of the day, the person who's going to come off worse is her, as now her grandkids have seen a very ugly side to her. I could go on, but I shall refrain - I'm sure plenty of you have your own family problems without reading about mine!
This morning, I've got two of my work friends coming round to see me. I love their visits - I have to keep abreast of the gossip!
Don't know if I'll get much cleaning done today.
Organic pork chops, broccoli, cauli and new pots for tea.
Have a fab day everyone!0 -
Morning :hello:
Happy anniversary mr & mrs_mix!
Moggins as others have said, only you know whether you can afford it but personally if I was you and I didn't have a shower and had the chance to get one cheap, I'd do anything to get it. Showers don't just use less water (assuming that you don't stay in it for too long!) but they're quick, and they serve the VERY important function of WAKING YOU UP in the morningsI'm so addicted to showers that I haven't had a bath in about 12 years - though I'm planning to start again now I've got a nice bathroom and some Lush goodies.
Anyway I need to be back at court by 10:15 this morning, hopefully our jury deliberation won't take TOO much longer and I might be home nice and early.
Off to nuke some yellow-stickered Tesco Pains au Chocolat from the freezer for my breakfast, and then get into the shower.

Morning all - my second day contributing to this thread. Sitting in work checking my emails etc.
Used my slow cooker for the first time last night - left it on during the night and came down this morning to a wonderful smell of beef stew. Can't believe who well it worked and how the meat tasted. The gravy was fab as well.
I'm sure I could improve it over time, but well chuffed with how easy it was using the slow cooker. :-)
Have a nice day!0 -
Moggins - I would say go for it as your more than likely to make the £300 back in the long run. Also as you said you already have £90 saved so if you can get the rest together it's not like your getting yourself into massive debt to pay for it.
You could also start saving the difference in your water / heating bill for the next year to show what a good investment it was.You laugh because I'm different - I laugh because you're all the same0 -
Morning All
Happy Aniversary Mr and Mrs Mix
Moggins I'd go for it, is there anything you could ebay or bootsale to ofset some of the cost?
Dr wasnt sure if dd has a chest infection so gave some antibiotics, but dd won't take them. Shes so stubborn had a half hour battle last night and gave up in the end. She seems brighter again today and slept through so what ever is wrong with her she obviously fighting it. I ended up getting her a Peppa Pig house yesterday, more than I intended to spend but she loves it and it kept her amused all afternoon.
Plan for the day is a general clean through of the house. If I have time I will pay particular attention to kitchen. Also got mounds of washing to get sorted may have to use the tumble dryer although will avoid it if possible. Pork chops for tea not sure how I'm going to do them yet but I'm sure it will come to me later.
Have a good day everyoneSorting my life out one day at a time0 -
Weegie..... Beef Stew Breakfast eh, yum!!
I still haven't got round to using mine, maybe give it a whirl at the weekend with a casserole.0 -
Good morning everyone.
Happy anniversary Mr and Mrs Mix.
All is ok here, The three terrors have been fed, washed, dressed, watered and sent packing to school and nursey.
Going to give the house a good clean today as it has been rather neglected over the last few days and then I am going to make a grilled full english for our dinner and a lamb hot pot for tea. I've also a pile of ironing to tackle and some phone calls to make.
I didn't think I would sleep last night as I worry about OH, but as soon as my head hit the pillow I was out and I do feel better for it today too.
<<<<<<<hugs to all that need>>>>>>>> and I hope you all have a good day.
