I didnt see it suggested in other posts - if you work for a large company tell HR, just so someone knows. If a small company tell your boss - you need to make sure work dont inadvertently let him in for example. (eta - doh mentioned above - good advice!)

I am totally for a chat with the Police and not offering the money - I can see where DVardy is coming from but I dont think he has a valid claim for the money but it wont stop him escalating that or some other perceived issue. You need to do ALL you can to protect yourself from this control freak.
