yeah but we have now been given a deadline from the people were buying off so the EA has called all the investors on his books to see if they would be interested one of them was viewing a house round the corner at the time so he popped round and made the offer

at the minute im so not bothered about the value iv had the phone surgically removed from my ear i just want this thing gone now i cant be bothered with the stress anymore and you learn from your mistakes if this is what it takes then so be it i hope there is a change in the system (like scotland) for the next time we sell because id rather shoot myself than do this all over. il let you know what happens on Monday (if we exchange or not) if we do exchange then ill get some sleep and on completion im giving the address to the local hoodies along with some hammers
(before anyone remarks on the last comment of course i wont but boy i wish i could)

thanks to everyone who has voiced an opinion and given there advice i suppose i should have done this a lot sooner which would have given us more time to do something about it but as things stand now we pull out we lose purchase and as that is not an option for my partner there is nothing i can do.

    Good Luck!

I'm sure you've made it clear that there's no messing anymore and I totally understand why you don't want to be looking for another buyer.

I hoe Monday brings the news you need :)

Best of luck Zipwen! If it's any consolation we were in a very similar position some years ago... messed around for months by a speculator/property developer who was in cahoots with our EA (as we later found out to our cost). Like yours, my dh was keen to hang on and, being the trusting soul he is, kept beliving all their lies despite all the evidence to the contrary! Eventually we were so desparate to move (house we wanted, I was 6 months pregnant and dh had a new job 80 miles away) my dh caved in and let me tell EA & developer where to shove it!

We then put our house back on the market the same day and had three viewers all of whom wanted to buy it for the full asking price! We were able to 'cherry-pick' the buyer in the best position (older couple who had already sold their house and were renting with large deposit). We were able to complete within 5-6 weeks without any further hassle!
I really hope you get a similar result

had two people want to make a viewing appointment today from looking on the site that i put the house on but partner has said he will just take their details and contact them if the exchange doesn't happen so he ain't budging even though we are getting some interest. i guess were gonna wait and see what Monday brings
also the other investor who came to look yesterday has spoken to the EA again and has said if things fall through he would like to offer us a bit more to ensure we sell to him so either way were gonna sell just how much for and when to find out now.
