    Productive day so far......

*laid in bed for as long as possible
    *coffee in bed
*shower, hair wash, war paint, hair dried
    *cleaned and tidied kitchen
    *hoovered house
    *dusted and polished
*polished my bannister and rails etc
*cajoled DH in to cooking the soup for lunch..... Chickpea and lentil
    *ate said soup
    *cleaned kitchen again
*snaffled some sweets when boys weren't looking
*close my eyes for 10 mins whilst lying on my bed

During the eye closed time we seem to have been invaded by the streets children.... Whom are now all currently playing in ds1's bedroom. Can only assume that all parents in the street and are now enjoying either quiet time or watching the Christmas tree lights twinkle.

They can play for a while and then...

*i will tell them all to go home
*go to home base to return the 3 tins of unused paint, that will be £85 thank you very much
*visit neighbours that moved last week
    *drink coffee
    *come home, mooch
*cajole DH in to getting us a Thai takeaway (I may need to use some of the laws of attraction rules)
    *watch X factor
    *eat Thai

I ordered DH a rather splendid Xmas jumper with a big reindeer on the front.... It arrived this morning and I decided to let him have it so that he gets some use out of it. It's awesome and he looks quite funny wearing it. He's wanted a tacky Xmas jumper for ages, so he's got a big smile on his face at the moment.... Hence why he can be easily cajoled!

A quick post before I nip into the town as LOVING the reindeer Christmas jumper...I have visions that it's like the one Mark Darcy wears in Bridget Jones:T

Remember lula - the law of attraction never fails so enjoy the Thai takeaway:D

    Most impressive, well done :T.

If I boought Mr GG a tacky sweater he would NOT be walking about with a big smile on his face :(.

Yay, pleased you like the colours..... One thing to be aware of - the sample pots that I got from home base were in estate emulsion and I actually used modern emulsion for my chosen paint. The modern emulsion has some sheen to it and is much richer and hardwiring.... So it looks slightly different to the estate emulsion tester pots you try - but in my case it meant that I was even happier with the final colour once it went on. Just something to be aware of when you're looking at your sample.

We're off ice skating shortly, I'm sure DH will be wearing his Christmas reindeer jumper again!!

The laws of attraction didn't let me down and my Thai takeaway was yummy last night.

Will cook a nice stew when we get home, it can simmer away while I drink coffee, laze around and perhaps close my eyes for a while....

Enjoy the ice-skating:D Although the last time I went I broke my elbow which was rather ouchie for me:(

The remainder of your Sunday does sound rather fab though.....think I'll put in another 'Cosmic Order' around locating the Christmas box(es) from the garage or maybe that's more of a St. Anthony prayer?

Ice skating was fantastic and no broken bones thankfully..... The rest of the day didn't go quite to plan but I do now have an amazingly clean kitchen with immaculate and tidy cupboards....

    Just sitting down now finally...

Stew is cooked, DH is just popping some dumplings in it and in 40 mins we'll be good to stuff our faces. Yummy.

    Good Morning!

Sold an item on flebay yesterday, buyer is coming to collect shortly. So - I shall pocket the money and then send an equivalent OP from the current account.

Working from home this morning and then collecting DS2 from nursery at 1, we've got a few jobs to do and then we'll have some snuggle time.

Off to Malta (weather permitting) for one night tomorrow, so that's me out and about Tuesday/Wednesday and then back to working from home again on Thursday.

I popped to Laura Ashley and Next yesterday and bought a few little bits and pieces to make the house pretty - all cheap as chips so I didn't spend a vast fortune, although in theory I don't suppose I needed any of them.

Lunch today will be some of the leftover spicy chickpea and lentil soup from Saturday and for dinner we're having salmon, green beans and new potatoes - tray roasted - it's an old Jamie Oliver thing and you also have cherry toms and anchovies - it's quite nice but more importantly is one of DS1's favourites - since he eats next to nothing, it's on the meal plan at least every other week!

Right - off to check the weather forecast for Malta so that I can pack a suitable work outfit for Wednesday....
  • any chance i can fit in your suit case ..... i need to escape!!!!xx
