That's very naughty thinking Natty! Which one does she have and which one do you have at the moment?
Boys are off to the cinema this morning and I need to find a little bit of time to catch up on errands and make sme cupcakes for this evening. Plus, I need to take some with me to my sisters tomorrow. I just need some butter, I've got everything else.
I'm going to do the ghost lollies that were mentioned too - actually the boys can do these this afternoon, it will be a nice little job for them.
I don't think that much work will get done today somehow.....
Happy Halloween! X0 -
I didn't think the next few days could get anymore exciting.......
Not only are DH and I enjoying a couple of child free days to celebrate our anniversary....
Not only will we get to enjoy a nice massage (and a yummy Choc wrap for me)
Not only will we be able to have some meals without moaning at the kids to stop shouting and eat
BUT
Better than all this is the fact that
Christmas drinks are going to be available from Starbucks from Friday. AND they are on two for one all weekend. I need to lie down before I over excite.
A large eggnog latte, don't mind if I do!!0 -
Hi LB, I remember that from when we both started up diaries at a similar time last year - where has the year gone :T
Enjoy the anniversary celebrations
Tilly x x2004 £387k 29 years - MF March 2033:eek:
2011 £309k 10 years - MF March 2021.
Achieved Goal: 28/08/15 :j0 -
It's amazing isn't it Tillie - a whole year since we got started with our real focus on being mortgage free...... Perhaps we will be able to celebrate at the same time once it's gone?!
Hope you're having a lovely holiday, x0 -
A LSD (low spending day - not the drug) today.....
Jacket potatoes for lunch - already in the house, although I did buy some coleslaw to go with them.
Dinner is chilli from the freezer used to make some enchiladas. I can hear DH clattering around in the kitchen now.
Had to buy one pack of butter too for my cupcakes as I only had enough for the butter cream and still needed a whole pack to make the cake itself.
Oh, and also spent £1.85 at the post office on postage.
So around about £4 spent today.
Should be able to avoid a full food shop this week as we will be away from tomorrow lunch time until Sat night. We have a fair bit of stuff in the freezer to use up, so hopefully we can just spend a little bit to stock up on some essentials that we've ran out of. We'll do this once we're back home.
The bowl is filled with goodies for the trick or treaters and the children enjoyed making the ghost lollies. I will give some of the cupcakes out to any nice parents (only if I like them otherwise they will just get a smile).
Need to take the boys out too before they go to bed. So, will have dinner and then get them dressed up. We only go to the houses in our own street - I don't want to go knocking on the doors of strangers as I know alot of people prefer not to be pestered. Thankfully everyone in our little street (11 houses including ours) are all very friendly and we all know each other).0 -
Boys enjoyed their trick or treating last night and have enough sweets between them to sink a small battleship. They looked fab in their outfits!
Need to organise some stuff this morning as heading off on our anniversary adventures after lunch. Debating taking the boys to nandos for lunch as a little treat. (to ease the guilt of abandoning them for two days perhaps)0 -

Well done - we were on top curmudgeon form and closed our storm doors last nightNot that we know any of our neighbours with kids, but the sweets are all mine, mine! :rotfl:

Hope you are having (or had by the time you read this), a lovely anniversary break. Look forward to hearing all about it ...well not too much detail obviously lula, as there may be small children reading;)

Thanks Natty!
We're back from a wonderful few days away. We had a really lovely time together and enjoyed some time without the children.
We spent a lovely day in York on Friday and it really is the most beautiful place, loved it!
The Choc wrap and full body massage were wonderful, it was so nice to enjoy some pampering.
We had a lovely dinner together last night and whilst it was really lovely to hug the boys again, I felt a little bit sad driving home that it was now back to normality.
MSE kind of went out the window, but, it was a special occasion, so no regrets.
Sensible spending starts again tomorrow!0 -
