It does sound odd, but it's yummy..... Very tasty, cheap and filling. Cooked a big batch and have portioned to freeze (without the egg). Will use as a base and add some different bits and pieces for variety. The link is a few pages back if anyone's interested, posted by the lovely fortune.
GG - a bar sounds fab. Perhaps a few drinks would stop me from being such a grumpy cow and disliker of other people, lol!0 -
And you can get a cheese and biscuits platter :T.A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

Yawnsome day.....
Spending
DS1 and I went to subway for lunch £4.49
DH has booked cinema tickets for Wednesday morning for him and the boys so I can have a few hours of quiet time as working from home. £7.25 for all 3 of them.
MS
Leftover curry from last night for my dinner and DH had cheese on toast
Another day working at home tomorrow. Ds1 will be home with me. Ds2 at nursery. Feel bad working when ds1 is at home but he didn't want to go to holiday club and he's happy to keep himself amused. I feed him and give him drinks every now and then when the guilt peaks.0 -
How was home-working? My friend (work colleague) works from home every Tuesday, and every single Tuesday I always feel jealous - especially as her house is fab and I usually try to wangle a meeting just so I can visit her fab house:D
PS. I have now purchased 4 X Christmas gifts, 2 X chocolate coins, 1 X gift boxes;)February13 - £74990 (or thereabouts)

I love the benefits of working from home, but I've been doing it now for 5 years... The only time I'm not working from home is when I need to attend meetings or travel abroad. It can get quite lonely and claustrophobic sometimes, but the benefits far outweigh this at the moment, especially with 2 young boys.
A fairly sensible spending day....
Lunches from stuff in the cupboard
Dinner - cooked a vegetable and butter bean soup, was mighty fine indeed. Very cheap and very filling, leftovers too. Will definitely have this again but will increase the quantities so it can be portioned and popped in the freezer. It was a new recipe so wanted to try it out before I went wild with it.
DH popped to the shop as we had run out of bread. He couldn't help but treat the boys to a packet of sweets since they rode their bikes up to the shop with him. So still not a NSD. We never have NSD's in our house!
DIY lady maintenance tonight, saves £20!
I watched the first episode of the new season of walking dead last night. I've watched all of them so far but I've decided it really is a grim program. There is just no happiness, hope or joy whatsoever in this program. I guess it would be difficult since they are battling against all odds in a world infested with zombies but I've decided it's just too dark and depressing for me.
Give me true blood or dexter any day. Sadly I'm up to date with true blood so need to wait a few weeks for them to accumulate agaain. DH has been downloading dexter, so will start to watch the new seasons of that soon too. I guess I'll keep watching walking dead but might use it as an opportunity to catch up on diaries.
We missed the Darren brown apocalypse thing last week so we've decided to start watching it tonight on the MacBook to see what we've been missing.0 -
I ended up switching over from the Derren Brown Apocalypse as I found it difficult to watch. My friend was raving about Walking Dead over the weekend, and I was going to watch as I like Andrew Lincoln, however completely forgot all about it.

I take it you mean recipe rather than receipts for the soup:p if you say it's cheap, I believe you lula, I'm not looking for proof;)
A work colleague had a lovely new jacket Barbour International on today, all lovely and cosy and new. I tried it on and it was so lovely. I have fallen in love and am thinking.....mmmm maybe I could sell my old one on ebay and put money towards new one:heart2:February13 - £74990 (or thereabouts)
