Thank you my lovelies, it's very exciting!
Dinner last night was leftover lentil and veg soup from a few weeks ago which I'd portioned and popped in the freezer.
Cooking a huge stew at the moment, will have some for dinner tomorrow, put some in the fridge for a pie in a few days time and the rest will be portioned and frozen.
DH is cooking some sort of beef and black bean stir fry for dinner tonight. I hope it's yummy.
Did a bit of cleaning this morning, house is a mess again though. Just back from asda. DH bought some new jumpers for the boys yesterday and went a bit crazy, so we've taken most of it back just now. I've not been in our local asda for around 4 years and I won't be going in again for at least another 4 years. It was awful. Give me aldi any day.
Can't wait for jammies and feet up time. And, I know it's awful, but I'm looking forward to some xfactor too.
I unpacked my pumpkins yesterday and they are scattered all around the fireplace, it looks like some sort of pumpkin invasion. Looks rather spendid too though even if I say so myself.
Some more amazon parcels have arrived over the lt few days, we'll soon be sorted and then I can relax a little bit and start to think about the various food/drink things that we need to start stocking up on - that said, we don't go really wild, just a few treats.0 -
DH's cooking last night was rather splendid!
I'm being very lazy today and still in bed, catching up on diaries. It's very rare to have a Sunday morning lie in in our house, so I'm enjoying every moment. Although, ds2 has just arrived as he wants to build a tower and wants some help..... So I guess Sunday morning lazy time is about to come to an abrupt end.
Off to build towers now....0 -
Back from returning unwanted/not needed items to John Lewis. Watched some racing at the BMX track.... Boys are wanting to get in to it, so we took them along to see what they thought..... Looks like an expensive hobby so the sooner the mortgage is paid the better!
Enjoying some quiet time while the boys play/kill each other....0 -
Hi Lullabelle, how did the tower building go
Well done on getting sub £110k that's great news and as Tilly says it won't be long before it starts with a 9 and that will be a double milsetone going from three to two figures :j
I saw a cute pumpkin things when reading the Sunday mags today whereby they had covered normal lollipos with a bit of white paper, tied it round the 'head' of the lollipop and drawn two black eyes on, they looked just like little ghosts in sheets and I really like the effect when they were all then stuck in the pumpkin.
I saw you'd used London City recently, I was there last month myself and the take-offs and landing can get a little 'exciting' someone did explain to my once and it was something to do with the different air currents with the approach and runway bing so close to the water, it seemed to make sense at the time
Do you have any memberships to airport exec lounges? I'm looking for a recommendation, I know there is a few to choose from but it's hard to know which is best from the on-line reviews as they are so mixed.
This is going to sound awful but the amateur travellers (as I call them in my head) are driving me mad so I'm looking to escape them and get a bit of peace and quiet while in the airports!
PS, I'm intrigued by your Santa and reindeer fest, must go and have a nose at the JL site
Regards
