I have Sean the lovely Irishman, who doesn't seem to mind so much when I ognore him :rotfl:. I did download some free ones such as Donald Duck - v funny, but not when you're getting stressed when you're late .

I've never seen my thread so busy and I've not been around to join in!

We ended up going the regular toll road way but did the alt route on the way back which was just aswell as it turned out that we would have got caught up in 2 accidents if we'd done reg toll road way and it would have cost us £4.80 for the pleasure of it!

It was a fantastic no spend weekend until just now when we looked at the christmas decorations on the John Lewis website..... The less said about that the better but I will say that we will have a Menagerie of santas, snowmen and reindeer arriving in the next few days....

I jotted down a few more Christmas present ideas as the weekend progressed and am very happy with the progress, I just need to go on to amazon a some point to order some more bits. I also need to ge to the cath kidston(if that's here name) outlet at some point as oven gloves and tea towels will be perfect for a certain family member. They'll match the pinny she was wearing over the weekend.....

The boys did some pumpkin carving today with the smallish munchkin pumpkins, they are very cute and look mighty fine sitting on the fire place. I think we need to get the haloween box down from the loft in the next few days, might aswell breakout all pumpking related items.

Supper was left over chicken rice stuff from the other day, so pleased we had this left in the fridge otherwise it may have ended up with us needing a takeaway and we're due a takeaway treat for a while.

Away with work on Tuesday, but just a quick overnight. Sadly it means an early 5am start in Tuesday morning which I'm really not looking forward to. I don't do early starts. It's ages since I had to get up so early but sadly the fight choice was limited and there was no other option. I arrive back on Wednesday at a "normal" human kind of time so I guess that makes up for it.

Has anyone ever flown from london city airport? I think I'll take the train in to London and then a couple of diff tube lines should take me to the airport. But, I did toy with the idea if driving, just not sure how close to the centre of London I will be and whether it's a stressful, busy, horrid journey. I need to be there for around half 7, 8ish s in theory it might be quiet ish. If anyone knows, please let me know........

Off to bed now, no time to catch up on diaries and prob won't have time until I get back from my trip. Maybe I should hide my cards until I've managed my diary fix......

    L xx

London City is a great airport to fly from - very small, but well run and getting there is pretty relaxing via public transport. I used it for a few work trips when I was living in London.

    Couldn't advise re. driving

Enjoyed the egg curry concoction that Fortune posted a link for (thank you Fortune) it was really tasty, cheap and filling - I'd recommend it to anyone with a few eggs to use up. We will definitely have it again.

I am so not looking forward to my 5am start tomorrow. I've booked a taxi so that i don't have to drive myself to the train station in the cold, dark and damp - yuck!

I've packed lightly and have managed to fit everything in to a nice lightweight tote, so no need for a wheeled case.

I've just booked some short stay parking for a business trip at the end of December - I managed to book 4 days at LGW Short Stay north for only £41, which is a massive bargain - company expense, I might baulk if it was for a trip of my own.

It's looking like my OP later this week is going to be much less than it has been for most months this year - need to pay out for anniversary weekend away which includes hotel, spa treatments, meals etc - plus out about for the 2 days. On top of that i bought the chelsea boots from ASOS (keeping them) and then of course the santa and reindeer fest from John Lewis for Christmas... Oh, and I need to save £400 in the newly created carpet fund - so it's getting lower and lower all of the time.

I've still not got round to sorting out the fleabay stuff although must of it is old clothes which don't usually fetch much anyway - so I don't think this is going to get my OP for October back on track.

Well, I need to go and dry my hair now and finish getting myself organised for tomorrow. Some feet up time on the sofa before an early night.

Damn it, just realised I'm going to miss The Great British Bake Off final tomorrow night, it will be skyplussed so I just need to avoid reading anything until I'm home and able to watch it.
