Wow that's early! I'm in Glasgow on the 9th, however I don't think the lights will be switched on that early? Or will they???

    Boo!

I got back from my trip early evening yesterday feeling slightly pooped. The early start and lack of sleep (sleep terribly when away from home - the red wine didn't help) have left me feeling tired!

The trip was good. I had a bit of time to myself so saw the sights, very nice indeed. Avoided the shops - walked straight past them all and didn't go in a single one.

I did indulge at the airport in the food shop and brought home some cheese, biscotti and the prettiest pasta I ever saw.

Payday tomorrow and can't wait to do the money shuffle. We've had some serious spending recently though, plus the upcoming 2 nights away, so I'm a bit fed up that my OP will take a hit this month. I keep looking around me to see what can be sold to compensate.

The John Lewis decorations arrived, thankfully half of what I ordered is cr*p, so some of it can be returned and thus refunded. I need to stick with nattys touching and feeling rather than getting carried away via internet shopping.

I'm going to get DH to bring down the Halloween box from the loft, I have the need for some pumpkin decorations to brighten the place up a bit for a few weeks.

London City airport was great, but it was a very bumpy take off for the outward flight and the approach coming back was horrid. It was a fairly small aircraft which didn't help. I'm a Boeing jumbo kind of girl so this little plane just didn't make me feel safe at all.

No more trips booked until the end of next month, so lots of time now working from home and trying to make some progress with finding new clients etc.

I will spend some time tonight catching up on diaries once I've got my jammies on and feet up on the sofa. Bring it on! I was in bed by 9pm last night zonked.

Well done on being so strong avoiding the shops in London - I would never have managed. Cheese, biscotti and pretty pasta are groceries so do not count:D

I have received gutting news on the money front over the last couple of days, however won't sully your diary with my boring blah, blah, blah stuff. I will join you later with jams and wine....and I might even go wild and put on the horrendously-costly-to-run living flame fire;)
