    Morning!!

OK - so lets get the bad stuff out of the way first. I opened the box. I had to open the box to get the return instructions and well, what can I say.......

I looked through the bits and pieces and I need to confess to keeping 3 items.

All of them are in my Autumn colours (of course) - I cannot buy anything anymore that doesn't directly match a colour on my Autumn swatch of colours.... I know that sounds really weird, but I believe in all of this colour stuff and I definitely feel and look better when I'm wearing "my colours".

So, I kept a cardigan which is just stunning - it's a deep olive green and will work all year round. I'm actually wearing it now...... and will most likely take it away with me this weekend. It was £28 instead of £60.

I also kept a dress which is kind of like a burnt orange.... just a very simply Summer dress, kind of casual but beautifully made and really comfy. That was £26 instead of £70.

And finally, a golden kind of colour very lightweight V Neck jumper - which is really more of a dress up evening jumper. It's beautiful. And that was £26 instead of £60 too.

I only discovered Massimo Dutti when someone told me (a fellow Autumn colour girl) that they had a tonne of stock which was our colours..... I saw loads of stuff I liked but waited patiently for the sale..... the quality is good and some of the styles are really lovely - classic/contemporary (some might say boring) and perfect for my style.

Everything (oops, I did go crazy) has been boxed and is ready to go to the post office later.

    That was the bad.

The good. I completed the school transfer forms yesterday afternoon and wrote a(nother) letter to the head to advise what we are doing. I feel quite bad given that they have reshuffled the Y6 classes, but I do think it's going to be the best option for the boys and if anything, it's long overdue.

DH handed the forms and letter in yesterday and I called the new school to let them know that we wanted the places and were sending the forms off etc. Hopefully everything will be sorted before the boys finish this term.

We've dropped a few mentions of the school to DS1, but he is adamant he's not moving.... we're just breaking it gently.... Mentioned the school and how nice it is etc. We haven't said he's definitely moving yet - thought we'd best wait until the places are confirmed as you never know whether anything might change/go wrong in between now and then and I don't want to deal with an emotional/angry 10 year old unless it's definitely happening.

DS1 is feeling very entrepreneurial right now and has been looking for things to sell with his friend on a stall at the front of the house....

Away to my sisters for the weekend, think we will head off this evening after the school disco.... hopefully we'll miss the friday night traffic.

Had a lunch time yoga session today..... Loved it.

Planning to get back to Body Combat next week, I haven't done it since October, so I'm expecting it to be hard going.

Tilly's thread has been motivating me to get back to exercising.... thanks Tilly!:T

    Morning!

    What a a lovely weekend....

Made the epic journey to my sisters on Friday night. Dropped in some more "school" discussion points with DS1.

We spent some money as we took them out for lunch in Leeds on Saturday, it was lovely, but we're £80 lighter.

Then went to a fair/festival thingy - only stayed an hour and reined it in a bit, so spent around £10.

Stayed around the house on Sunday, DH helped with tip runs and we (sister and I) made cakes with the children.

Off to the a Class this morning at 10 - Body Combat, haven't done it since last year so I know it's really going to kill me.

Need to chase up the school later to see if the transfer forms have been submitted. We had some more school discussions with DS1 over the weekend and he's actually starting to say he might be interested in moving schools.... so just need to organise for him to go and have a look hopefully before the end of term.

Have a great day, Lula x

Wow, Body Combat was a killer.... loved it though. I know I will hurt tomorrow morning!

School application/transfer forms have been posted and we've arranged for DS1 to visit the school on Wednesday afternoon. Just hoping that it all comes together in time.

Hey Natty, thanks for popping in!

It's official, I am over the bag thing.... I still have some but don't plan on buying any more. I no longer look at pesky bag sites, I have left all bag forums and I just don't waste my time thinking about daft bags anymore - feel like a bit of a loon really when i think back to how obsessed I was. Oh well, time to move on!!!

Speaking of moving on - I must now confess to a new obsession - skin care. Say no more.

I hurt today - my shoulders, arms, back and backside ache like bu**ary. I'm meant to be going again tomorrow morning, but I might need to cancel and do a Chi Ball Yoga instead!!

DS1 came out of school yesterday and asked when he could start at the new school??!!! He said he's really looking forward to it???? Totally confused as he was dead against the idea.... I reckon something must have happened at school yesterday but he claims not.... I shall just embrace his enthusiasm and be grateful. Fingers crossed that nothing goes wrong with getting the places....... (and toes).

DS1 is going to see the school tomorrow and his new teacher will show him around which is quite nice.

    In money news:

Wow - we're running low. I am going to need to transfer some money over from saves to tide us by for a few days and then put it back once paid. Payday seems to be getting later and later every month as the accountant is always busy with other things and never sends the payslips across on the date that I'd requested.

The CC is getting massive..... it'll all be paid on payday, but we really did overspend. Nothing new, but need to rein it in.

I had an epic fail with spending last night and bought some serum, night cream and cleansing balm. £56. Feel free to tell me off.

    Over and out, Lula x

We went to Harry Potter last month - it was great.

I'd suggest taking your own lunch if possible, the food was quite expensive. But it was a good day out.

I enjoyed reading about your MD shopping. I find that reading about somebody else's purchases, is almost as good as going shopping myself:rotfl:

Brilliant, thanks for the tip Goldiegirl... We may well take some kind of pack up with us, or we might have a big brunch before we set off to tide us by.... We won't be able to avoid the Butterbeer though, the boys love it and it's been ages since we had any

If you like living your shopping through someone else, stay tuned, it's inevitable, even with the best will in the world, that I will be shopping again soon!!
