That's great news about DS1 coming round to the idea of the new school lula - hope all goes smoothly from now on in.

Now you are over the whole bag thing, I must tell you about my beautiful MK number, of course it's a fake from Turkey, albeit a brilliant replica and I absolutely love it:smileyhea

Re skincare, I was (am) the biggest supporter of L@ncome, however must say that a £2.99 jar from Ald1 is absolutely fantastic!!! You should give it a try.

The house is nearly painted! It looks so much better...... on the downside, we needed more paint that we thought - the render really sucked it up, so on some walls, 3 coats were required.

So, on top of the £280 we'd spent, we had to spend a further £160 - plus of course it's taken longer for the job to be done, so the bill go up a bit more.

Amazing thunder storms here during the night and this morning - almost tropical!

Still no news on the school places being confirmed, looks like it will be during the school holidays that we find out which is a bit of a pain...

No major plans for the weekend, just a quiet (minimal spend) one by the looks of it....

Roll on pay day - I'm having the urge to make an overpayment which is always a good sign.

    Have a wonderful weekend!

    Morning!

Lovely weekend of Sunshine and rain....

    Spends:
-Two new nightshades for the hall - from Next, no chandeliers
-Car boot - Nerf guns for the boys
-McDonalds breakfast on the way back from the car boot - wrong in so many ways
    -Nerf bullets for the boys
Sunscreen - everyone - ordered from Boots, mostly half price
Finally bought some more SPF for my face - bought a cheaper version that originally planned, hopefully the saying "buy cheap buy twice" will not apply... trying the Soap and Glory 'Make Yourself Youthful" SPF 50 - seems to have good reviews and is half the price of the Kiehls that I'd planned to buy a few weeks ago
    -Make Up Brush - Amazon
-Pressed Translucent Powder - need help with some Summer Shine.... I'd gone a bit crazy and bought Laura Mercier - a friend says it's fab and lasts a year even if used every day
-Bikini - I only ever have one bikini and I wear it until it dies... mine is dead
    -Strawberry/Raspberry picking - made a pavlova
-We all shared two sandwiches at the strawberry picking place - they make the best sandwiches ever.... massive and so enough for us all to share one for a lunch time snack
    -Brush cleaner

    Saved:
All £160 of the extra paint I purchased was returned over the weekend. Thankfully the painter didn't need it, so that was great!

So, all in all, a fairly spendy weekend I suppose.

Role on pay day for some shuffling!

Have a great week, Lula x

Mrs E is looking for a decent factor 50 for our Crete holiday in September, let us know how this one goes :)

Will do Ed - I've searched them all and read reviews etc and this seems to be promising so I'll let you know what it's like....

If she's after SPF50 for the body (rather than her face), Boots have some great deals on at the moment. I got myself some Biotherm SPF30 400ml pump action bottle for around £17 - out's usually £30, so a good price. I think they had SPF50 too. Other than that, they have the usual Ambre Solaire at half price which I got for the children.

Crete sounds great - have a wonderful time, I bet you can't wait for the break....

    Morning!!

Looks like we have another beautiful day in store...

Walked the boys to school this morning, they zoomed off on their scooters. Have just finished checking the bank accounts and doing this months expenses. Just need to get paid now and everything will be in order.

Had dinner with a friend last night - we sat outside and it was lovely. Neither of us drank (!!)... I'm not really a drinker anyway so nothing new there, but my friend really loves to have a wine usually so I was quite surprised.

Meeting another friend for early dinner tonight.... will try and keep it sensible again.

Dinner dates seem to be like buses this week.

I have my sister coming on Thursday afternoon to stay a few nights. She's taking my niece in to London on Friday to meet up with some of her friends, so I might accompany her on the train journeys and organise a worky meeting and lunch to keep me amused whilst she meets with her friends to discuss baby poo and sleeping patterns......

The boys are on serious countdown now for the end of term, roll on tomorrow.... it's strange to think that it could be their last day ever at their current school (we won't find out about the new school places for two weeks - it's driving me nuts not to be in control).

Off to get my roots done at lunch time. Will skip the cut this time and save a few pounds.

Have a great day, Lula x
