Lulabelle's MFW Diary

I am afraid that for this month, and more than likely through to November, I will be making no MOPs....clearing a CC, son's 21st, car service, car insurance, and house insurance (prob other unexpected bills, however my mind is too fuzzy with all the sunshine).
I will return to my diary, although I am weary of my drivel posts, so goodness only knows what others must think!
I am currently on holibolibobs for the next few weeks - would have loved to have spent the time choosing F&B colours and fitting an ensuite, however the boring lack of money is hindering me, so instead I have been going declutter c-r-a-z-y and will reacquaint myself with fleabag......and may even try for sales of larger items on gumtr**:cool:February13 - £74990 (or thereabouts)
MND - Let's go for 2020 'cos it's got a nice ring to it:D

Focus on what you have done Lula - not on what you haven't. That's amazing progress!
My report card would say - very able but easily distracted (by lilies) :rotfl:

I for one love reading your diary, so please stick with posting!
Lack of money is very boring indeed and certainly hinders most plans. But, stick with it, I'm sure it will get better in time. On the bright side, at least you are able to pay for the horrid bills as they come along, some less fortunate folk might have to resort to using a CC for everything, so in the grand scheme, we're still very lucky... keep smiling my lovely xx0 -

Lulubelle, you have done brilliantly in 20 months. You put me to shame. Well done,Paid off mortgage nine years early in 2013. Now picking and choosing our work to fit in with the rest of our lives!
Still thrifty though, after all these years:D0 -
What a lovely sunny morning!
I'm getting back in to my regime, so a quick catch up on diaries while I have my weekend morning coffee in bed.
DH is at work today, so just the boys and I. The paddling pool has been blown up and I'll fit it shortly. It will be perfect to cool us down. No grand plans today, just some time in the garden.
We picked some strawberries yesterday and I think I'll use some to make the boys strawberry milkshake later on.
I think I'll take the cookbooks in the garden and see if I can attempt a menu plan to cover the next few weeks. Will check the cupboards and freezer first to see what I've got in there to use up.
I'm actually feeling quite excited by my renewed motivation.
Tomorrow we're planning to go to a local area with lakes and a swimming pool. Since the sun will be shining we will pretend we are on holiday for the day. Lets face it, when you lie round a pool all day, if the sun is shining, you could be anywhere in the world. The beauty of one holiday tomorrow is that we get to sleep in our own bed at the end of it!
We've bought some bits and pieces to take a picnic, so no need for overpriced eating out.
Enjoy the sunshine everyone, L xx0 -
