He shows no inclination whatsoever to change role and increase earnings despite several current opportunites so I've decided I'm just not comfortable continuing to have everything on my shoulders
Do you begrudge the part-time work? You sound just a tiny bit grumpy.
He probably just can't believe his luck - I literally don't know a single couple/family with a female breadwinner!0 -

We had the house on the market for the last month. We had some interest and had planned to buy a neighbours house when we sold. As lovely as the house would be, I've decided against it and have taken ours off the market. It's affordable but I just don't feel comfortable taking on the extra financial commitment at the moment. It's all on my shoulders as I'm the money earner and DH is part time. He shows no inclination whatsoever to change role and increase earnings despite several current opportunites so I've decided I'm just not comfortable continuing to have everything on my shoulders. An extra £125k on the mortgage would not make me sleep better!

Yes, if I'm honest I do begrudge it at times.....0 -

Best of luck with the house sale.... It can be such a confusing time and I'm sure you are talking yourself in and out of the idea on a regular basis.
I'm happy that I've decided against it for the time being.0 -
Yesterday was lovely - started with a coffee in bed and some googling, followed by swimming/jacuzzi/coffee whilst on sun lounger chatting to my BFF, then home for quick lunch and off to a little town gathering thingy. Sadly it poured down which meant back to ours for more coffee and chit chat with some friends....
I've booked to go to Zumba on Wed night but have just received an email to say they have cancelled the class as it isn't popular enough, pants!
Checked bank accounts have noticed that DH has seems to be spending a small fortune recently on the food shopping. It's starting to spiral out of control again so it looks like I'm going to have to start doing the menu planning and food shopping again. Meh!0 -
DS2 is currently at school for his first settling in session.... Just for an hour, he was so excited. A bit disappointed when he realised he was only going to be there for a short while - he was expecting to have a PE lesson!
Can't believe where the time has gone, he seems too young to start school - he's only 3, not 4 until the end of August so he will be the youngest in the school bless him.
Off to pick him up to take him to nursery shortly and then a day working from home for me. It's so lovely and sunny outside, would love to be out there instead, oh well....
Hope the sun is shining where you are x0 -
Tillie tidies this morning, so the accounts are looking nice and tidy...
I contemplated organising a lunch out today but instead opted for "Body Blast" followed by swimming lengths..... So, pennies saved and exercise done!
It's beautiful outside, I laid on a sun lounger outside and had a quick coffee when I'd done my swimming, if only I could have stayed there all day.
Back in the office now and catching up with work.
Enjoy the sunshine peeps! L x0 -
Hayfever was slow to arrive this year, but it's arrived with a vengeance in the last week.0
