    Thanks GG/Tilly...

Nice to see you Moneycurious... hope you are OK?

I've been away for a few days this week - work trip to Malta. One word, "Mosquitos". I'm not a happy bunny.

Money news, well, I hope you're sitting comfortably:

1 - I've joined a gym. Well, more for the pool/spa and exercise classes, I wont actually ever go to the gym. Just a 4 week trial to start with. I'm working out how it can be an employee benefit through pour company at the moment.....

2 - I'm getting a cleaner. I've had enough of house work, I just don't have the time or inclination for it and I miss it. It's been 3.5 years since I had one. She starts next Thursday.

3 - I went in to the Ted Baker shop at the airport and bought a new Mac (it's gorgeous - I'd seen it online but was still a touch too pricey, but the airport saving meant I had to have it) and a rather lovely swimming costume - see point 1.

4 - Whilst away DH bought the boys new bedding which arrived today

5 - Whilst away, DH bought himself some "essential" equipment for his hobby

6 - Whilst away, DH booked to go away with his friends tomorrow

7 - I might have bought a small leather item. Just a small one and it's only "might" because I'm waiting to see if JL will do a price match for me.

That's it in terms of money spent that shouldn't have been.

We were paid yesterday, so most of the money shuffling has been done, just working out how much to OP and will make the payment in a few days.

Lovely and sunny at the moment here but apparently rain is on its way - rubbish!!!!

It's been ages since I did my Saturday coffee in bed with the ipad to do a diary catch up....... So, here I am doing just that.

It's good to catch up on diaries (although I only did one page of each subscribed diary) as its a reminder as to why we're all here. I need some focus right now, so I'm going to make sure that I'm on here more often again.

DH took ds1 BMx racing last night, they had a great time. Their first race and they didn't come last so that's a good start.

DH has gone off to Wales today, not happy that I woke up when his alarm went off and couldn't get back to sleep. He'll be back late tonight.

Very grey and drizzly outside. Just thinking about what our plans will be for the day.

I had some quidco money come through in the last week so I've popped it in to my mop pot and will make a payment later today. If I don't op it will just end up getting spent on other stuff, so I need to get my act together and do it.

I'm going to start doing my tillie tidies again too to keep my focus. Actually, to get my focus back as I lost it!

We had the house on the market for the last month. We had some interest and had planned to buy a neighbours house when we sold. As lovely as the house would be, I've decided against it and have taken ours off the market. It's affordable but I just don't feel comfortable taking on the extra financial commitment at the moment. It's all on my shoulders as I'm the money earner and DH is part time. He shows no inclination whatsoever to change role and increase earnings despite several current opportunites so I've decided I'm just not comfortable continuing to have everything on my shoulders. An extra £125k on the mortgage would not make me sleep better!

Drizzle seems to be turning to rain.....
