I know what you mean about rice and curry sauce combo, it's so tasty (and I think that Chinese curry sauce is the best!)
I have to unload the washing machine and load the tumble drier and the only way to get there is via the kitchen where CHOCOLATE is:eek: (well actually I could go via the garage to get to the utility room but that seems a bit excessive:p)February13 - £74990 (or thereabouts)
MND - Let's go for 2020 'cos it's got a nice ring to it:D
C'mon nattypants:cool:0 -
Well, the Chinese rice last night was as expected..... but I needed it. My desire for it has been fulfilled and I wont be needed it again for a long time (still on about the Chinese before anyone asks).
Friend popped in for a coffee this morning whilst DH did the food shop. I was planning on doing the food shop myself but didn't have the energy or inclination, although it probably cost me £20 more to have DH do it as he always seems to pick up some things that we don't really need.
Enjoyed a lunch time snooze whilst DH took the boys to the park....
I'm now full recovered and ready to start the week tomorrow.
I'm desperate to make an overpayment to the mortgage but I don't get paid for another 8 days. I might need to raid a savings pot in the meantime as I'm not sure I can wait that long......0 -
Have just reduced our love film tariff and using the saving towards Netflix..... One month free trial so we can see if it will be used......
Planning to finish watching homeland season one tonight and then we can start with the recommended breaking bad in the week......0 -
Hmmm, well, to my disappointment Homeland wasn't on Netflix, nor is it on Lovefilm instants, so I need to wait for the next disc to arrive in the post.
Instead, I discovered Californication.......... watched 5 episodes in a row....
We have a little bit of snow here this morning and are forecast for snow all day, although there isn't any falling at the moment - much to all of our disappointment.
Working from home and will pick DS2 up from nursery after lunch as we spend Monday afternoon's at home together every week which is lovely. He's off to school in September, so not for much longer......
We've said that they can both have parties this year. We've never been one for giving them parties - we've always just done something quite small and been sensible with the cost.
DS1 will be 9 this year, so we figure it's the last time he'd want to have a party - we're planning to hire a hall and do a science party - has anyone ever had or been to one?
DS2 will be 4 and we're planning to have a little party for some of his friends at a farm. They get a tour, barrel ride, feed the animals etc.
Point is - these parties cost a small fortune, so we'll need to budget for them.
It's a one off though, this year only!!0 -
I must say - it looks stunning from my office window - I love seeing the trees, bushes, fields with snow on them, so so pretty.......0

oh lovely - the snow is starting to fall properly now, love it!0

Same here Lula and its starting to settle on the roads
I love the look of it, but OH works away during the week and I have never driven in the snow, feel really nervousEmergency Savings Fund - £11002015 Mortgage overpayments = £0 -
You will need to stay at home all day snuggling on the sofa with hot chocolate and watching day time TV.......0

I never drive in the snow either - had to go and get DS2 from nursery earlier and I must admit I felt very nervous too...... the worse bit was getting the car off the drive, once out of the close and on the regular roads it was fine......
BUT, it's still snowing, so I wouldn't want to be making any car journeys much later in the day.
I think that today might actually be a NSD - a rarity on the the Lulabelle thread......0 -
Rubbish - it's stopped snowing and it's already melting away. We managed a very small snowman. I hope this isn't the only snow that we will have for this Winter - I need to have a bit of sledging action......0
