Took some inspiration from Natty today and we had baked potatoes for dinner.... with some prawns. Basic, easy but very tasty.

Dinner tomorrow will be a portion of the curry base that i batch cooked a while back. Just need to chuck a bit of veg in it when warming it up. We've got a nan and a few onion bhajis to go with it.

DS1 is having a friend to tea tomorrow, so we've got some Tesco basic pizza bases and then they can chop some peppers and ham, sweetcorn etc and make their own..... The boys love it when they get involved with making their own food.

    With brown sauce?

I desperately need my hair cutting.

I had found someone that did it really cheap for me which I was very happy about but the last time she did it, I hated it. Usually when you hate your haircut, you kind of get used to it - some might say "it grows on you".....

Not this time, I've spent the last 10 weeks hating my hair and desperately urging it to grown so that I can get something done with it.

Enoughs enough, I'm going to call the hairdresser that I've been going to on and off for around 15 years to see if I can get an appointment today. She used to work for Toni & Guy and is now at another equally expensive salon - hence the reason that i try and get it done cheaper every now and then.

But, I'm going to have to just accept that if I want my hair doing how I like it, then I'm going to have to go back to her and stick with her. She does a great job and once it's a bit longer it wont need cutting so often, so I think it's prob better to get a really decent cut every now and then that a poor cut more often.

There - I've talked myself in to the expense and justified it.

Roll on 9 o'clock so that I can call - I'm getting impatient.
  • No justification needed in my eyes :)

I've had the same hairdresser for 15+ years too. I strayed once and she was kind enough to take me back (on my wedding day...) I now have a 70 mile round trip every 8 weeks.

Hairdresser has phoned in sick today...... I've got an appointment for tomorrow morning - hopefully she will be feeling better by then!

I think a good hairdresser is quite hard to find, I've learnt my lesson and shan't stray EVER again!!

Hairdresser still sick, new appointment Thursday morning.... Then, off in to London for a meeting.

Tomorrow I'll be working from home all day, need to try and get as much done as possible. I'll have a cupboard lunch again.

Science party and hall have been booked for ds1's birthday.... We're sharing the party with friends as its their daughters birthday a few days earlier and she's the same age and her and ds1 are very good friends, stemmed like both a nice and sensible thing to do.

Still planning a holiday... Currently trying to see if I can get the accommodation through a contact to keep the costs down and if that works out I can get on and book the flights.... Hopefully, in the mean time, my bonus will be approved in order to fund it. I'm really in two minds about doing the holiday, it might be better to do it next year when ds2 is another year older.

Sill desperate to make an overpayment!
