Lulabelle's MFW Diary

Lunch was leftovers from a roast dinner a few days ago - just the veg, so bubble and squeak I guess.....
Dinner - a VERY cheap past dish. Filled a gap but didn't set the world alight.0 -
$h*t happens Lula, and DS will probably enjoy his time with DH (who may not feel the same :rotfl:). Don't beat yourself up about it - if you can't change it you CAN change how you deal with it and if you react too negatively then DS will pick up on it.
Go and stroke a handbag.
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

Lula please don't beat yourself up:( You work hard, and your sons will both grow up feeling very proud of your achievements, their loving happy childhood, and being raised in a family home with both parents caring for them:A
I regret so much when my kids were younger regarding child care that, particularly my son, hated:(:(:(
Both kids now constantly tell me how proud they are to have a mum who worked hard to put a nice roof over their heads, and was always there at weekends:)February13 - £74990 (or thereabouts)
MND - Let's go for 2020 'cos it's got a nice ring to it:D

My kids have moaned at me last few days as haven't been home but sometimes I think its nice that DH is in charge. Makes them appreciate me more! My girls are getting to the age were they don't always want to go to grandparents so Im glad they did quite a bit until now.
DD3 was adamant she wasn't going to breakfast club but after being once absolutely loves it.

Thanjs GG, I'm thankful that my DH is very hands on and is always there for the boys when I have to go away...... A little bit of handbag stroking always helps....nattypants wrote: »Lula please don't beat yourself up:( You work hard, and your sons will both grow up feeling very proud of your achievements, their loving happy childhood, and being raised in a family home with both parents caring for them:A

It's lovely that your kids are both so proud of you natty, I'm sure you're a wonderful mum. Thanks for the reassurance...HelenDaveKids wrote: »My kids have moaned at me last few days as haven't been home but sometimes I think its nice that DH is in charge. Makes them appreciate me more! It's always a relief when they end up liking something that they initially kick up a stink about..... A few days of holiday club for ds1 will be fine and ds2 will be none the wiser bless him.0 -
I sky plus'd Mr Selfridge last nigh and just watched it now... So much better without adverts every 12 minutes... Did anyone else watch it? I quite enjoyed it and am looking forward to watching the whole series....
I'm away with work for a few days from tomorrow and have just been refilling all of my littles of lotions and potions. So much cheaper to top them up instead of buying new ones. I always just take a carry in case with me so I need to keep everything small. Haven't packed yet, will do it in the morning which means that I will have my usual dreams about running late and missing the flight tonight.0 -
Adios Amigos!
Back in a few days.....0 -
I watched Mr Selfridge and also enjoyed it very much, roll on next Sunday!
Have good trip Lula!Emergency Savings Fund - £11002015 Mortgage overpayments = £0 -
I can see both sides of your "accounts", i like to treat myself , and would probably spend just alittle less. But , its all about moderation. Lula you are doing an excellent job , and dont think your not. But i stick to the motivation that the sooner its payed off the better.... but please dont forget lifes also for living - we dont get a re run. And i very much belive in each to their own. Some months we splurge , some we save. January traditionally is a save month, Dec is a splurge, but then with my oh's line of work from spring through to oct i hardly see him so we save quite a bit.
Bang some more stuff on flebay perhaps and use that as a savings pot/ op pot?? I find that i only buy clothes once i have sold something - makes me feel less guilty. Also getting OH to go through his wardrobe whilst i am at work becasue he has loads of barbour shirts that he said have gone abit tight so they are going!

Yes, roll on next Sunday - I'm looking forward to watching it again.... I didn't realise there was going to be so many episodes and they're also planning another season which is great....moneycurious wrote: »I can see both sides of your "accounts", i like to treat myself , and would probably spend just alittle less. Thanks money, you're absolutely right, even when doing little splurges, its important to always remember our goal as we could quite easily fall off the wagon........ Keep up the great work with the eBaying, it all helps!0
