I have been using my card since it came out on a daily basis at the Post Office and other times making purchases online. I haven't had to top up the card as l use it via the funds in my pay pal account.

The only issues l have found is that on the odd occasion the card is declined, however the payment has still been taken. I used to phone them and it was sorted within 2-3 hours however if you don't it is refunded within 24-48 hours.

The customer service is top class, UK based. Many other companies should learn from them.
The decline issue seems to be increasing rather than decreasing. I will agree that customer service is pretty impressive, especially for a bank.

There's an online payment to one company that fails more often than it succeeds. They actually take Paypal now, so that makes it easier.

I had a fail in a supermarket too most recently. It actually works if you do it a second time and you have funds for two payments in your account, it's actually been fun when you get a declined payment and then tell them to try again with the same card and it works, you get some interesting looks from the cashier and the queue behind!

Got a email saying card was not available to me..

Phoned them up and said I could not have one as I had not been invited to apply for one..

But she said it should be generally available to all soon

I've been using my card with no problems since October, but all of a sudden its stopped working - have had 5 transactions declined in 2 days, and 4 tried 4 cash machines, none of which would let me withdraw money. Checked paypal and the money hasn't actually come out of the account, enough funds there, but just keeps being declined.

Does it deduct the relevant currency from your Paypal balance when shopping overseas without charging a forex fee ?

e.g. Spend €50 in France with card and it deducts €50 from Euro balance
  • Will this card be on general release soon?

Seem to be no news available
  • Is there any point to this card now? Paypal transfers are now completed within 10mins-2hrs so paypal funds can be available in your bank almost instantly - so wouldn't it be easier to just use the debit card attached to your bank account?

I agree that for me the beauty of this card was to have instant access to funds - I mostly used it at the P.O.
But I am having problems with the 'instant' transfers so until those are smoothed out I am still relying on the card...
