I'm not sure if you know that someone who thought this ''rung a bell'' for them can search the forum for just your posts, and read a back history of what you post and glean any information about jobs/locations etc from a whole history of what you post. so, a refernece anywhere of a place, an identifyable feature, an initial in a post, or a job...for example, on your forum profile, would be accessable by anyone who wanted to do this. In a situation where you and your family might be in danger from someone who sounds fairly commmited to being a thorn in your side, a ruthless review might be advisable :)

Like i said... even a search on the forum wouldnt give you my location or job. Thanks for your concern though.

Also seeing as I am not allowed to change DD2's name it wouldnt take a brain surgeon to find us.

The way we are protected... anyone searching for us flags up on a data base and it would be investigated... So if he wants to come find us then best of luck to him. He is likely to get found out before he finds us lol

  • I do hope that social services is aware of the girlfriend having a baby with a very violent man.

  • Well, when working in gynae, I was told by the child protection nurse that if there were no previous concerns regarding the adult woman, all we had to do was contact her when the baby was born and then it became something for her to look at.

There are more Social Services employees than the woman on reception. There will be someone working in the local hospital, for a start. Plus she would be able to converse with health visitors, etc, to keep an eye out for any issues.

You would be surprised what they can do if the evidence is in front of them.

To be frank, it will probably being monitored but you will not be told anything as its a seperate case.

Violent men especially those with previous DV and child abduction issues are monitored when new babies are involved or indeed they move in with a woman with children. The new baby may be put on the CP register at birth, the OP won't be party to that info.

The Mother will be asked what she is doing to keep her child safe and if she 'fails to protect' other steps may be taken.

    Hopefully.

  • Any advice? No, I really don't think you need any, except to stay as strong as you possibly can. It looks like the end might finally be in sight and I most certainly hope and pray that it shall be. Past experience has shown that he might not ever be completely thwarted, even after this (hopefully) final time in court. I mean, he's a ruddy psychopath. There's no way that either he or anyone else will be able to follow you from court is there?

Mere words cannot express how much admiration I have for what you have done for yourself and your child. I wish you the very, very best.
  • Very best of luck, OP.

I'm glad you've had the same judge - he was polite and helpful last time, he will be this time, too. You've nothing to be afraid of.

I am not going to judge farmerswife. just congratulate you on getting out from this mans control.
If you dont have legal representation and you are up against a barrister - I dont blame you being scared. just do what you have done. take a deep breath, think and then answer only the question you have been asked. and dont let them obfuscate with lies and half truths (clearly you havent let them get away with THAT in the past).

Not sure i understand this...there are many ways to search for people - Google, the electoral roll, Facebook, yell.com....i'm not sure that these places have alarm systems?

Best of luck with it OP...awful thing to go through
