Evening All
Yes, JG, I do still volunteer at a hospice but it is for children and young adults. It is used for children and their families for respite. Sometimes the children are there on their own to give families a break and sometimes the families stay too. One mum said how wonderful it was to have someone make them a cup of tea - small things. It would be good to give your Sis and family a break. Also remember the services of MacMillan and other similar organisations, I used them when OH was ill so that I could have a few hours sleep. Thinking of you all.
Thank goodness the fog has practically cleared, we have had 3 days of it and it makes everything so damp and cold. DD has gone off to hockey, washing fairly up to date but drying is becoming an issue! Tea was veggie enchilladas (sp). Will take hm soup to work tomorrow for lunch.
Well done Taplady, that's the first step. Hugs to all feeling low. Take care. XX0 -
Had a good day at work, it was busy but that meant home time came around quicker. I start work at 6am so when I went out to the car I was surprised to have to scrape the ice off it, I didnt realise it was that cold. anyway came home on it time, had dinner sat on settee and fell asleep (or went into hibenation cos no heating on) for an hour, so hope I can get a decent nights sleep tonight.
Im off work the next few days so its like a weekend for me, so I will be washing, cleaning, cooking etc but one thing OS im going to do is walk down to the local library to see if I can find some books on different crafts, after reading about chutneys, sock monkeys etc its wetting my appetite.
I have nearly done all my Christmas shopping but I fancy making something for my oldest friend, cos if it doesnt turn out perfect she will understand and we can have a good giggle about it!!!!
Hugs to all that feel the need and good on you Taplady for making that all important drs appt.

NPM hope bill is super small for repairs xxx
Well deed is done. Letters of notice have been given to 3 sets of parents. Feel terribly guilty but know in the long run its the best course of action. So from between now and Christmas will be stashing as much money away as I can in prep of income dropping lower. Heres hoping DS will be a bit happier and I can focus on giving him more support. must chase up his teacher about SALT and I shall be speaking to them tomorrow to get an idea about how much support they give him in school as I am wading through a DLA application form. No point me saying one thing if they are going to say something different. House is a mini tip, kitchen is a bomb site and I feel dog tired tonight. H has been signed off work for the week by his Dr. He just cannot sit on the chairs at work without discomfort and they are worried about potential lawsuits if he makes his injuries any worse. So he's under my feet for another week at least :rotfl:I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks

Glad I made that appointment now as I've felt carp all day - felt sick this morning and my chest hurt. I confided in a friend at work who is lovely so it helped to talk.
My appointment is tomorrow afternoon - right after the meeting regarding shifts so not sure what my blood pressure will be!
At work again for 7am so after a quick surf I'm off to bed.
Take care all x xDo what you love :happyhear0
