My thought are with you JackieG its a dreadful worrying time for your family.I'll have a chat to 'The Big Guy' tonight. So many of you are having problems at the moment .
I had a busy day this morning after schoolrun (Henry's poorly so his Dad stayed home with him)I managed to get to the knitting club that I have been trying to get to over the past few weeks great fun, and some nice ladies there. We all knit and natter for an hour and a half and have a cuppa and a biscuit. Its at the local library and afterwards I got a couple of books and got persuaded to join next Mondays book club as well So it looks like Monday mornings will either be book club or knitting club.
Then this afternoon I had to see the chest chap at the hospital,he said so far all the tests are o.k. but I have an 'echo' next week and a 'spirometry' the following week so to wait and see what those say. I had my DDs left over chicken carcass forn yesterday dinner so that went into the SC and has been turned into stock and I also picked up a huge bag of windfalls so tonight I shall be peeling ,slicing and stewing for the freezer.
I have got liver & bacon and mash for dinner tonight all from the freezer so I have hardly spent any cash this month:) will probably have stewed apples and custard for pudding.
Hope all those who are well had a good day and the poorlies amongst you feel brighter tomorrow
Take care chums

He was meant to be going back to see about what his next course of treatment will be, unfortunatel he was admitted about half an hour ago; they have put him on morphine, and he's awaiting an xray. Quite worried, unfortunately I can't do much to help because we cannot take our germs anywhere near.
Hope everything is OK with JackieO today. X
Jac, sorry to hear that, sending positive thoughts to your Bil xx0 -
JackieG- big hugs to you all! I can't recommend enough the services of the PPOW hospice for the whole family, Dad reluctantly agreed to go to the day centre once to give mum a break, and it became his safe haven, he loved it so much! The staff all became like part of the family, and their advice and support is second to none, they also have a great service now for the kids, might be worth thinking of for your sister???RIP Iain

Thanks all. Jools, I am sure you are right, but I dont know if he's sick enough for the hospice yet, iykwim? Update from the hospital is that he will be in overnight, they think its a problem with his stent, which is a relief, as if it is, itle usually. Actually, I think Camelot used to volunteer in the hospice....s easily fixabIt's what is inside your head that matters in life - not what's outside your windowEvery worthwhile accomplishment, big or little, has its stages of drudgery and triumph; a beginning, a struggle and a victory. - Ghandi0

Jackie, the hospice isn't just for the "sick enough" . Their advice and support is invaluable, worth keeping in mind. Hopefully it is a problem with the stent, and will be easy to sort! Think you have a bit of my cold, been miserable all day, up and down all night as too congested to breathe. House now smells like the olbas oil factory, and large vat of medicinal lentil soup has been made. Hopefully it eases off for tomorrow as am back at work. DS has his first ever filling tomorrow, MIL is taking him as we are all working.RIP Iain

Big hugs to you jacks x x x
So my list was a little ambitious, once i factored in cooking dinner, having a bath and nipping to my mums house.... But will make my way through it and more this week. I forgot our clock in the kitchen was 1hr ahead so thought it was 9pm and have an extra hour till my program starts! so doing my hair tonight instead of tomorrow morning.
Pack lunch for OH is done and i made a big lasagna for dinner with 4 portions ready for the freezer once they are cooled.
whilst at my mums i took a few perishables from the fridge, so now have more cheese, new potatoes and fresh pasta, and also picked up some breakfast sausage and scotch pies i'd left int he freezer a while ago. So hoping not to have to shop till the weekend.
Do need to do a loaf of bread tomorrow, as the bought loaf was mouldy.
No word from on my grandad today, but that's good news for me.
have a lovely eve all
