  • Sunday evening all ready :(

Had a few spends today, we went to a charity cricket match. Even though we took a picnic we spent £20, all for a good cause though.

Must call garage tomorrow to see if they can have a look at OH's car this week. Next weekend we have a bit of a logistical nightmare, all 3 kids have got things going on all in different directions so could really do with both cars. Plus I need to know how much its going to cost to fix......fingers crossed not too much.

Ironing done, housework is sort of done but I think I need an early night so the rest is going to have to wait. Hope everybody has a good week. xx

  • Thank you ladies, we've got everything crosssed. Have dropped OHs car into garage so will know tomorrow.

Today was not a NSD :(. We needed bread, fruit and snacks so called into sburys on way home. Must get this food budget back under control. My month goes from 28th to 28th of each month as thats when I get paid.....gotta feeling its going to be a long month.

I've walked the dog tonight and I've realised I am so unfit  I really must do something about it.

Well off to clean the bathroom then off to bed.xx

  • Bad news :( OHs car is going to cost £220 to put right, cylinders and pads on the back and new pads on the front (or something like that anyway). OH seems really stressed on the phone bless him.

The cars only worth about £500 anyway, MOT is up at the beginning on September anyway and tax is due at the end of August. We haven't got that sort of money to put his car right as mine is supposed to be going in to the garage next week and that £250ish.

DS1 is going to get a car shortly (as soon as he has passed his test) and OH can go on his insurance (and I'll put him back on my insurance too). I'm sure we can live with only 1 car for a short period of time.

To scrap or not to scrap that is the question......off to ponder for a bit.xx

  • ....and the saga continues, £80 to put the car back together to bring it home. (They've had to replace a part that was siezed).

It's got £20 of petrol in it too . xx

  • OHs car cost £35 in the end to be put back together and made road worthy, so not as bad as first quoted. Would still need £230ish to put the brakes right for MOT. We've got a few weeks to think about it as it's taxed until the end of August.

Ended up with 12 NSDs in July so not a good as the 15 in June. But its the start of a new month so I'm going to go for it again, if I can do another 12 I'd be pleased with that.

Must get off to work, late start today.xx

  • First day of the month a NSD :).

Haven't done spending diary or meal plan tonight. I've spent the last hour helping DS1 update his CV and getting the printer to work!!!

Is it just me or does there seem to be a lot more people on bikes all of a sudden?!? xx

  • Just like I thought we have been overpaid by the tax credit people - £71.17. But they want to pay us another £320 from now until 5 April 2013 and then collect the overpayment which will then be £391, what's that all about!!! Of course I couldn't get through to them tonight.

Now that our tax credits and OHs hours have been reduced we are about £200-£225 down a month. I don't want to reduce the amount we pay on our DMP so we are going to have find other areas to cut back. OH is going to get rid of his car at the end of August so that will save on £35 per month insurance, we will carry on saving on petrol too but at weekends my car will be used more.

We really must get some of the stuff in the loft sold either on ebay or carboot or however we can.

Had a spend day today, paid childminder, paid works lottery for next 2weeks for me and OHs works lottery for the month. Called into sburys to get some more cereal, bananas, coffee, and some lunch box stuff. Still need to do meal plan.

Can't wait for the weekend, I'm shattered this week. I've fallen behind with the housework and ironing, I know it really shouldn't matter but it starts to get me down. So this weekend is going to be really productive and I'm going to get back on track with everything.......well I'm going to try my best anyway.

Lets just get through Friday and then we can enjoy the weekend.xx
