The dogs got fleas, DS3 has got nits and I've just eaten a packet of malted milk with a cup of tea.........not a great start to a Sunday.
Dogs fleas have been dealt with, made a start on the nits with nit comb and conditioner, and as for the biscuits I can only hang my head in shame.
Friday was a NSD. Yesterday nipped into town and stocked up on toiletries, got a Christmas present and meat from butchers. Total spend £20ish, although the present was only £1.99 (well known make metal construction set) I've already started thinking I haven't spent enough so may need to top that present up but that defeats the object. of trying to keep the cost down.
Didn't really achieve anything in the house yesterday so much for being productive. So far today (apart from munching a whole packet of biscuits!!) I've only managed to put a load of washing in then came on here. DS2 has gone to cricket, DS1 and OH still in bed, DS3 sulking a bit because I've just spent 20mins combing his hair.
I'm going to catch up on a few diaries whilst I wait for the washing machine then I'm going to get on with stuff.xxDMP with CCCS started Jan12 £34,906 Jan13 £31,893 Jan14 £26,836 Jan15 £21,894 Jan16 £16,839 Jan17 £14,415 Jan19 £12,938ish Jan19 £9,649 Jan20 £6612 Feb 21 0 Self managed from Jan'17

I have managed to get loads of jobs done today. All upstairs cleaned and tidy (except DS3s bedroom), all downstairs clean and tidy (except living room). Have sorted out kitchen cupboards, done 3 loads of washing, and some handwashing too.
Have had another go at DS3s nits, he hates have the conditioner on and then the knit comb put throught but I will stick with this 'free' remedy.
Today was NSD 3. Still need to meal plan and check spending diary. Not sure I can manage the ironing tonight, fancy a chill out on the sofa catching up with the Olympics.xxDMP with CCCS started Jan12 £34,906 Jan13 £31,893 Jan14 £26,836 Jan15 £21,894 Jan16 £16,839 Jan17 £14,415 Jan19 £12,938ish Jan19 £9,649 Jan20 £6612 Feb 21 0 Self managed from Jan'17

Morning Alice,
Oh no sounds like you had a lovely start to Sunday! Im sure you will have dealt with nits before you if not you really need to make sure you get every egg out. If not you will have the same situation next week! DD1 caught them from playgroup when she was 3 who passed them onto DD2 who was only 9 months. I was mortified!!!! Ive been using tea tree shampoo and conditioner on them since and fingers crossed.
Glad you got sorted in the house yesterday xxMummytogirls x0 -
Hi mummy, yeah the others have had them. DS1 only once but DS2 had them about 3 times, the first time I didn't realise as it hadn't even crossed my mind as thats why he was scratching he head, and by this time he head was covered bless him. I hadn't thought of the tea tree stuff will try that, thank you.
Although the dog stays in the kitchen I have sprayed the whole house, and will order some flea stuff for the cats today. Needless to say when I cleaned yesterday I must of gone through gallons of bleach.....it made me feel better anyway.
As its quiet at work today I've just checked out DMP, our DFD is now 2023 and our outstanding debt is £33198.83, not very good at maths so not sure how much we've paid off, I knew the outstanding figure would go up a bit because of the interest. Very pleased we've knocked 5 years off and once we have paid for the car another £261 a month will go towards that figure too.:)
Its funny I'm so pleased but can't tell anybody at work because its all top secret.:D. xxDMP with CCCS started Jan12 £34,906 Jan13 £31,893 Jan14 £26,836 Jan15 £21,894 Jan16 £16,839 Jan17 £14,415 Jan19 £12,938ish Jan19 £9,649 Jan20 £6612 Feb 21 0 Self managed from Jan'17

Its so quiet at work today so I've sort of done a meal plan from memory, so will need to check it when I get home.
The whole office is out to lunch to celebrate Mrs Spendalots birthday (and she's picked one of the most expensive pubs around here!!) so I've picked just about the cheapest thing on the menu, plus drinks should come to £14ish. Plus £5 towards her birthday collection so no NSD for me today.
OH and DS2 off to watch a cricket match tonight. DS2 has got a free ticket so just got to pay for OH (out of entertainment budget). OH reckons he's got enough petrol as its about 50mile round trip.
I'm off work the rest of the week after today. I need to get rest of school uniform and I promised DS3 I'd take him to the pictures as he's never been. Will go to cinema tomorrow - orange wednesday.xxDMP with CCCS started Jan12 £34,906 Jan13 £31,893 Jan14 £26,836 Jan15 £21,894 Jan16 £16,839 Jan17 £14,415 Jan19 £12,938ish Jan19 £9,649 Jan20 £6612 Feb 21 0 Self managed from Jan'17

Hi Alice,
Oh no to Mrs Spendalot picking the most expensive pub, maybe she should have paid!!!
Did you go to the pics with DS? xxMummytogirls x0 -
Hi mummy yeah we all went to the cinema (except OH), it was the first time DS3 had ever been and it was nice to go out with all the boys. Of course they were hungry afterwards so we had a trip to McD's as a treat and I only had a
meal so I was quite impressed with myself.
I've just updated spending diary and so far (from 28th July) this month grocery spends are £143, my petrol £25 and OH £10.
I am going to resist going to the supermarket today as this is what used to happen when I have a day off, I always feel like I should go and get extra food so hopefully I have started to break that cycle. Its looks like its going to be a lovely sunny day so hopefully I can get some jobs done this morning and have a nice chilled out afternoon in the garden.xxDMP with CCCS started Jan12 £34,906 Jan13 £31,893 Jan14 £26,836 Jan15 £21,894 Jan16 £16,839 Jan17 £14,415 Jan19 £12,938ish Jan19 £9,649 Jan20 £6612 Feb 21 0 Self managed from Jan'17

What a fab day. Did a few jobs around the house, ironed and then sat and chilled in the garden. Didn't go to the supermarket either so NSD 6
On the downside the toaster and can opener have both broken today. I know these things come in 3s so I'm just waiting for the next thing.xxDMP with CCCS started Jan12 £34,906 Jan13 £31,893 Jan14 £26,836 Jan15 £21,894 Jan16 £16,839 Jan17 £14,415 Jan19 £12,938ish Jan19 £9,649 Jan20 £6612 Feb 21 0 Self managed from Jan'17

Hello Alice,
Well done on NSD6 thats fab!
Boo to the things breaking, lets hope if it does come in 3's its something cheap and hopefully that doesnt need replacing!!
Enjoy your day xxMummytogirls x0 -
Another lovely sunny day today
We went and got school uniform today (well all sorted and ordered and paid £20 deposit). Still need to get DS2 a new rucksack, and DS2 and DS1 need shoes.
Had family round for a BBQ tonight so called into A1di, £29 spent but got a trolley full, although I still struggle with their fruit and veg.
Still on NSD 6, but have got £100 in my £2 pot.
Will have to replace toaster and can opener soon. Keep having to use the grill which I know uses loads of electric and it takes ages compared to the toaster. As for the tin opener I've managed to get it to work but it takes all my strength to open a tin, OH could just about manage it too.
Hope everybody has a great weekend.xxDMP with CCCS started Jan12 £34,906 Jan13 £31,893 Jan14 £26,836 Jan15 £21,894 Jan16 £16,839 Jan17 £14,415 Jan19 £12,938ish Jan19 £9,649 Jan20 £6612 Feb 21 0 Self managed from Jan'17
