Well maybe it is coming home.....:T:j:D

We had a great night even though I'd sort of lost it with OH earlier in the day. After I posted on here I just left him to do his own thing whilst I started preparations. After about 30mins I walked into the kitchen and he was just leaning up against the worktop, very casual. Apparently he had something in his eye. Anyway forgetting that we all had a good time.

Up quite early this morning...no hangover...result! Need to do meter readings this morning, got a wash on (we've moved the washing line to a more shady spot in the garden, still drying nicely although I'm still pegging out at night as well), have a quick tidy round and then I've got to get a printer cartridge (have money off voucher) and I'm going to the £1 shop for some bits mainly cleaning stuff.

We are only on 3 NSDs but after today should manage to get some more in during the week.

Hi V, yes he did help clear up. Although he is still addicted to his mobile at the moment.......hmmm given his track record I hope it's just the football that is keeping him so preoccupied.:o

Still haven't done meter readings. Upto 5 NSDs, and today should be a NSD as OH said he is going to watch the match at home tonight. Must order school uniform!

This week we've got an end of term show at DS3s primary school and a meeting at his High school. Where did the time go......we've been in debt nearly all his life. Light at the end of the tunnel now though.

    Happy Wednesday everyone.

Having read up on the last 7 years of your life I thought it would be too rude not to say 'hi'.

You've done such a great job over the years, keeping everything on track with little support AND letting DS1 have the experience of a lifetime AND trying to help out family, all while keeping it a secret. :T

You are such an inspiration and I realise I could be doing do much more to get rid of our debt. I have subscribed will be cheering you on to the end.

Yay,I made it to the end  and it was worth reading, you really are an inspiration, you have kept on no matter what has gone on, there is no way that I would have kept it together to pay off the amount you have despite all the other things you have to deal with, this has taught me some valuable lessons

I'm glad I never learnt to drive :rotfl: ok it means I rely on public transport but I couldn't cope with the stress of owning a car:eek:

My DMP is for 5 years buts it's half what you have managed to pay back so to put it into perspective it's not that bad really,I got myself into this and I can get myself out and I'm already 5 payments in:j

Im relieved I had daughters instead of sons because they don't eat as much:rotfl: ( I do have to state though that my girls are grown up and only one is at home and she buys her own food now) I d have a DGS now though so time will tell as to whether he eats me out of house and home when he visits :rotfl:

It's never too late to peg out,I've been pegging out overnight for the last few weeks while we have had this hot weather ,I've never had so much control over my laundry:T

And finally...........a good can opener is worth its weight in gold:rotfl:

Also thought I'd mention about my daughter and uni,she didn't go straight away because she didn't have the grades, she had to do extra at college to get them then she took a year out and worked for a year during which time she saved up enough to fund a big chunk of her first year expenses, Im a single parent so she was lucky to get the maximum financial help, she finished that degree but couldn't get a job at all in her chosen field so she had to come home ,while she was deciding what to do with herself she took a job at the hospital where I work and has now started another degree in a health care professional role, she has had to live at home while doing this and commutes to the uni,she did move out briefly for her placement but we are hoping the next one will be local, she paid for the accommodation for that with savings but was able to claim it back from a learning support fund, this is one uni journey

There is also a girl who worked with me who was our apprentice but she has now finished and has decided to go to uni to qualify as a nurse

Our other apprenctice has just finished her course and has been given a job as a band 2 HCA she can now work her way up to a band 4 assistant practitioner without getting into debt while being paid or choose to go to uni later than she would have done to get a nursing degree

So there are loads of options out there,my girls used to panic when they were getting ready to leave school because they didn't know what they wanted to do do but I told them it was too soon to know and that it was never too late to change their mind, nothing is set in stone and they should take their time choosing what they wanted to do:)

Hi, I admire your endurance reading all those posts. Thank you for your kind words. I won't say it's been easy but we'll get there.

    Good luck on your journey.

Hi thanks for your post, and the very wise works. I always say you have to work for such a long time that sometimes it can take you a while to get into a job field that is right for you. I don't think DS2 is panicking, quite the opposite just bimbling along. Maybe he needs an extra year to get his head straight.

I do think it's a shame that your daughter couldn't get a job in her chosen field but good to hear that she's doing great.

    Thanks brizzle.xx

What a week. We've been so busy with school visits, end of term shows and parties, we are exhausted. The boys have all gone camping with the football club, last night I was home alone....absolute bliss. I'm joining them later today, there's a charity night tonight and then I'll help do cooked breakfast for everyone in the morning, then home at our leisure.

Only managed to go to 9 NSDs so far this month.

Few extra spends for school leaving gifts, nothing extravagant, something your could either drink, eat or light and it would burn away aka a candle :rotfl:

I pegged out last night so hopefully it will be dry shortly. Need to do a run to supermarket to get some bits for camping. We will spend tonight on drinks as we'll be in the club house, but won't go overboard.

Still haven't done meter readings, or ordered school uniform.

Hope you all have a lovely weekend......and maybe some rain.:D
