Way hay! Another debt gone for good. Ouch about the car though and your 365 savings. That must take a lot of cash each week if it's the one where you increase the amount you save by £1 each day over the year?? Probably got the wrong idea there. Anyway at least you had it for the car.
Don't mention the nights drawing in, I thought the same thing and didn't like the thought at all.
Have they offered money off for early settlement of your OH's debt?
    Enjoy your time off work.
    V

Hi V, the 365 thing is where you save 1p on the first day of the year, 2p on the second day, 3p on the third day and so on. Not sure how we would of got on come November and December but heyho. I wouldn't be able to catch up now but will definately look at doing again next year.

Re OH's debt, they have offered £881 settlement figure. Now you know how I struggle with paying anything but the whole amount off. :o and I know how frustrating it must be for you guys. :(

  • Didn't have much to report yesterday, had a chilled out day. DS3 went to sports club, DS2 picked up his results...he did OK. Still doesn't know what to do next.

Today has been a bit spendy, got the rest of school uniform including shoes . Somebody please tell me they're going to last for the next five years. :rotfl: Got petrol, flowers for the oldies and a small food shop. Treated us to lunch out......that really was a treat.:)

Have pegged two loads out as well. Will be adding them to the ironing mountain when I've finished this post. Tomorrow having hair done, can't wait. :D

I have just sorted the paperwork mountain that had developed in the kitchen.

Haven't done a lot but feeling ok about it all. Next week is last part week of child care costs, OH off for part of the week, DS3 won't go to holiday club if OH is here, then I'm off bank holiday week.:j

Hope everyone has a good weekend.

  • It's a bit overcast here today and we're recovering from yesterday antics.

Yesterday I had my hair done and then we went to a food/beer festival in the town, then back to friends for drinks. Had a lovely evening, although feeling it a bit this morning. Total spends, £27 for hair:eek: and £30 on social stuff.

I need to update spending diary and budget. Also need to do this week's meal plan.:)

It was overcast here today as well ,I still managed to peg some washing out though and it was nearly dry when I brought it in,I do sympathise with the school shoes shopping,I remember when mine were still at school and their shoes didn't seem to last five minutes, they always grew out of them just before the end of term too:shocked:

Just catching up with you. Please tell me the above was paid off if you had the money. It's been mentioned before you will have already paid back every penny you spent plus plenty of interest. Stop the guilt!

I always say peg it out, 9/10 times it dries and anything is better than having it hanging around the house. They've always had really good shoes for school, and although they cost a small fortune they have lasted. Although DS3s did wear out and he didn't say anything and went to school with his toes poking out the bottom, and I put puncture repair patches over the hole.:rotfl:

  • Busy week last week, and then today's weather has just been pants...but the grass is looking greener. :-)

It isn't pay day until after the bank holiday, and we're having a quiet weekend anyway. We did go food shopping this morning, spent £68. Also got petrol. We've got quite a few birthdays coming up so I've ordered presents/got cash for the teenagers card.

Also on the money front we've got a biggish bill to pay for DS1.

Trying to keep my debt busting mojo going. Tomorrow I'll update spending diary and budget and do the meter readings.

  • How did it get to the middle of September already!!

We've been really busy over the last few weeks, but things are settling down now and getting back to 'normal'.

On the money front, DS1 is costing us a small fortune (all worth it though). Although he has got some money from the summer we need to pay towards his education. Plus his flights back for Christmas, which need sorting sooner that later.

Football starts again this weekend, and now DS2 is playing midweek so we're going to be busy busy busy. I've set up the DD pay one lot of football subs, DS2 will pay his own but we will still take DS2 as his away matches are miles away.

We've been a bit hit and miss with the food shopping. I've seen a challenge on social media where you eat out of the cupboards/fridge for the month, only topping up on fresh stuff. We are sort off doing this. Although its proving a bit tricky now we're back to doing packed lunches. I have put £10 in DS1's dinner money account, just in case. One week in and he has only spent £1.50.

My 20p jar is full....to be fair its not that big a jar, lol. But I'm going to keep saving and use it towards Christmas celebrations.

From next week I'm going to starting putting money into cards for nieces and nephews Christmas presents. If we do one a week we'll be sorted in 9 weeks.

Have managed to get a full line dry twice this week. The kids have taken it in about 4.30pm so it doesn't get damp. :-)

    Looking forward to the weekend.

    xx
