We are about to pull the purse strings soooo tight!

Well done on speaking to council tax - I know you were dreading it.
DD is into fashionable trainers (like her dad) so I buy their trainers from M&M Direct - good brands at low prices!!
I have seen loads of diaries this morning mention getting washing dried on the line yesterday - we had constant rain from 6am through to about 4pm so no chance of getting anything dry. I am in Suffolk and our weather is usually better than most places. Today is looking brighter although currently it is frosty and 0c!!!0 -
Hi EE, I was dreading sorting the council tax out, but not at much as I'm dreading what bcard have got to say about only receiving half this month.:o
Yeah I've seen that M&M catalogue/brochure, never ordered from them though....to be honest forgot all about them! Fashion trainers are sooo expensive. DSs needed trainers for his indoor sports training. Thankful one of the cheaper pair fitted just fine.:)
It was a lovely day today, albeit still chilly. Another great pegging put day.:D Have just seen weather forecast for this week talking about frosts overnight!!
Today had a mixed day of housework, ironing and chilling out.
Checked our DMP, we have quite made it into the 14's as we've only paid half this month nearly but not quite. Next month should be our last payment through stepchange. I'm sure I'm doing the right thing going alone (as so to speak). It's funny the only one that really bothers me is bcard. It's the biggest debt and the only one charging such high interest. I know I keep on harping on about it but I just don't want to go back to the stage I was at when I started with phone calls etc.
Have sorted purse. Just about got enough cash for DS bus fare and extra training session this week. Need to start building up emergency fun again, and the leisure pot. Having money in the leisure pot really worked for us before.
Anyway enough ramblings, hope everybody has a good week.

Evening Alice,
All sounding very positive and organised round at yours.
I would say you don't need to panic about the phone calls etc. You are so much more in control than what you will have been at all the start of this. You can do this :T xxMummytogirls x0 -
Yep, Mummy is right. You CAN do this :j :T

Thank you for the posts. V, yes must get the EF up and running. Feels better with a little something in place...just in case.
Mummy, yeah it's just the fear of returning to how it was. Will feel better when everything in place.
Brizzle, I have got to do it.;)
Today was a NSD. Whilst tea was cooking went through a few drawers in the kitchen. Sorted out tea towels etc, and utensil draw. Found an old can opener.....made me smile, remembering a few years ago when we went through quite a few can openers in a short space of time.:rotfl:
Just sat down to watch TV and I just mentioned to OH if the porch was locked, he answered 'why didn't I remind him before he sat down' and stormed off to lock it. I wasn't aware I was responsible for making sure the porch is kept locked, thought it was a joint effort and I would of gone and locked it if he'd said it wasn't locked or he didn't know. Anyway he's in a strop now.....oh well.:o
Tomorrow night I'll update spending diary/budget.

Will pay council tax on Monday and set DD up again. Still need to childcare. Will pay that next Thursday.
Yesterday got petrol, today paid works lottery.
Got a few social things going on this weekend but shouldn't be too spendy. Will call and get some food stuff tomorrow as we have another long road trip on Saturday with sports club.
Waiting for the fall out from bcard. Although we will be back on track properly come 1st May so should be able to self manage from 1st June as planned. Will look for the letter template that I need to send out about self managing. Also what I need to say to bcard that we are only able to pay £50 per month so they don't charge me interest. I'm assuming they will ask for a breakdown of our budget?!?
So many questions. As daunting as it is just cant wait to get started.:o

Today I've spent £15 in the cheapy shop, £26 supermarket. Need to pay for sports club presentation tickets over the next few weeks.
The other car has started to have the same problem we got fixed a little while ago. OH going to speak to the garage.
Have got 2 loads ready to peg out in the morning, will put another one on overnight.:)

The washing dried a treat today.:) Have had the heating on for a few hours tonight, we just couldn't get warm after been out all day.
Major road trip with the sports club. Did call into a farm shop/butchers place, spent £24. Bought a cake from the farm shop as a treat as we've got the oldies coming for dinner tomorrow. Freezer/fridge full but we are going to run out of milk after breakfast tomorrow.:o
Have logged onto DMP, we are just a tad over 15k. Would of made the 14s if we haven't reduced this months payment. :mad:Lowest debt is £104.

Paid council tax, just need to set DD back up.
Haven't counted NSDs this month, will start afresh in May.
Feel like I'm getting back on track.
