  • Thanks Verbatim and brizzle. You won't believe it but OH has been very involved over the last 24hrs. We've been through the budget/spending diary, that's all up to date. We've even been through the next few weeks spends etc. Result!!:). .......for now anyway.:o

Have set council tax DD back up. So that's all sorted.

We are down to £3.61 in the bank. Roll on tomorrow!

  • Yay payday, thanks V and mummy. Bank balance looked very healthy when I first logged on. Have transferred money into emergency fund and to DS. Been shopping, £34 in @ldi and £44 in sburys, that does include cleaning stuff and toiletries (inc blades for OH, but did get nectar points voucher worth £4.00 next packed purchased, so thinking will get them before the voucher runs out in 2 weeks).

Got petrol in both cars, £40 and £10.

Paid sponsor money £10 to work colleague who ran the London marathon.

Logged onto step change and we have paid off just over £20,000 (put it like that as it looks more impressive.:rotfl:), just another 15k to go.:o

We've got a quiet few weeks but then we've got 6 weekends on the trot with something happening each week (some quite speedy!!). OH still very interested in our financial situation.

Managed to get 2 loads pegged out and dried yesterday, will peg out first thing tomorrow and we're supposed to have rain from lunchtime.

    Xx

OH went through the spend diary/budget with me this morning. :)

Didn't quite make it back yesterday before the rain. We'd just had a light shower as we got home. Put most of it either on hangers to air or in the airing cupboard. The bigger stuff I put in TD.:o.

Today have done all the ironing, tidied the front garden, swept drive and round the back, most of the housework and then for tea had cheese/potato pie and sausages......not quite a Sunday roast but still very nice.;)

OH had to get inner tube for his bike, and some stuff for school project so today was not the NSD I had hoped.

Tomorrow OH is playing in charity footie match. He needs to pay £5 to play, I'm going to take £10 to get a few raffle tickets etc.

Had AA membership renewal, £57:eek: No way can we afford that, will call them tomorrow and see what they can do.

Hi brizzle, done that before now.:rotfl: Yeah OH still very much on board.:)

Called AA today, got cover reduced to £36.:)

Went to charity match, we had every sort of weather possible. Thankfully didn't put people off and we had a great afternoon to be honest.

Looking to have our first NSD of the month tomorrow.

I've been reading posts regarding going self managed. Some post say to call the companies up and let them know we're not going through SC anymore, some say write a letter. I couldn't find a template anywhere (maybe there isn't one!!).

Not sure what to do about bcard. Do I make payments of £51 so they hopefully reduce interest or do I make token payments to them? At the moment it is only bcard that I'm overly worried about. Nothing will change for the others.

This months DMP payment will be back to £475.
