  • Thanks brizzle, shame you had the put the heating on. Hope you managed to get to the allotment this weekend.:)

Yesterday did housework and few jobs around the house. Managed to get washing dry and ironed. :)

Today OH and kids went to the footie, they picked the 'oldies' up on the way back and they joined us for dinner. OH called into @sda on the way and picked up a few extras I needed to make dinner stretch and some flowers for the oldies.....lovely to see a smile on their faces.:)

Not sure what we are doing tomorrow. Just great to have another day off.

  • Today was a LSD, brought a fresh loaf to have with lunch. Still on 9 NSDs.

Pottered around the house today, DS2 sorted all the 'paperwork' in his bedroom, cleaned the inside of the car and seemed to have spent a lot of time just chilling!.......I know it's completely wrong but sometimes I look forward to going back to work. really need to sort myself out.:(

Need to pay extra childcare costs this week. But at least its payday on Friday.:)

  • Nothing much to report this week....just plodding along.

Paid extra childcare yesterday. Today was NSD10.

Need to update spending diary/budget. First payment for car insurance is a double payment, then 10 payments.

    Just got to keep going.

  • Still only had 10 NSDs this month. Thursday had to pay into a collection at work also paid lottery. Yesterday had a chippy tea, not quite the first Friday of the month but I've had a hectic week....that's my excuse anyway!!

Thursday called in to sburys, spent £28. Also got petrol.

Today I've been into town, topped up on bday cards, went to b0dyc@re and got toiletries. Called into butchers spent £18.

OH put petrol in the 'other car' too.

Called into sburys on way back, picked another bday present (mens shirt in the sale £5.....a bargain :)) spent £39 on food and stuff. We are having a BBQ tomorrow to celebrate a relatives bday, they live in a flat so we offered to have everybody here......must be mad.:rotfl:

Forgot to get OH some beer......oops.

Still need to get another voucher for bday gift....but from a shop on the other side of town. Also could do with a few bits from @ldi whist we are out that way.

House work has completely gone to pot, have got 3 loads on the line, need to update spending diary/budget and do meter readings.

Off to get something.....anything done. :)

  • Have done meter readings, haven't done them for 3 weeks. that's not like me! It works out that the cost for both is £15 per week, so we should be back in credit by the start of July.:)

OH has paid for his activity weekend. He is currently looking for the paperwork, can't find it in the papers in the kitchen, total panic stations. I know it's there somewhere, he just needs to look.;)

Yesterday I gave downstairs a really good clean (might have to do it all again later as the weather is not good and we may be all inside this afternoon!) and I did all the ironing. :)

DS1 still not sorted, we can't afford any more money and his sponsorship has finished now.

Im having second thoughts about the bday voucher. The mother of the girl it's for has in the past 'complained' to me about presents the kids have received. Got me thinking the voucher won't be good enough. Don't want to give money, and the child has everything...and I mean everything.:(

Fingers crossed the rain stops later....could be a bit cosy in our house.:rotfl:

First of all, how ungrateful is the mother that she complains about any presents that her children receive and secondly, don't overthink this because if she really is that type of person then it's unlikely anything would be good enough. Just give the voucher as that's what you wanted to give and at least it can be used on what the child chooses.

Ditto from me. Gawd some people are totally unbelievable.

Good day last weekend at allotment. Less good today as forgot string for me peas, but all hanging on in there. OH got a bit excitable with the strimmer :o so we are a few strawberries down...think the sun forecast for later this week will really help the veggies come on. Slugs got the cucumber plants on the cold frame. Need to plant more.

Hope the sun shines for you and your washing this week :)

  • Thanks for your messages about the voucher. I did go for the voucher in the end.;)

I've had a pretty carp week this week. I'd lost all the love for debt busting, we've had a tree lose a massive branch in the garden which has broken the fence, DS1 got massive problems with his trip, house work overload and DS2 and DS3 really busy with their sports clubs.

I've given myself a firm talking to this morning and updated spending diary/budget so I can get back on track. I was going to come on here and have a rant but the moment has gone now.

We have had to pay for a tree surgeon and fencing panels so we will only be paying half to step change this week.

Have spent £110 on food/toiletries/cleaning stuff so far this month. Finally ran out of wash powder, not bad considering started the box in January.

The garden should finish being sorted today. Housework still to be tackled. Have pegged 4 loads of washing out.:)

Have had 2 NSDs so far.

Going to try my best and get back on track now. Although I find the debt busting is like having another job, I've just got to get on with it.:)

    Normal service should resumed now.:rotfl:
