  • It's been raining here on and off for a couple of weeks so have hardly used the washing line :( very disappointing especially as it's lovely and windy and would get dry in no time if only the rain would stop for long enough!

We have a shop local to us who does vacuum repairs/ servicing. Do you have something similar? Might be worth getting it serviced if it's an expensive one. I like to buy mid range and get a new one every few years. I would love an expensive one but I just couldn't bring myself to spend that much on a vacuum :o xx

No pegging out for me either.:o

Yeah I've looked on the web and we have a repair shop that specialises in our make of vac but they are about 20miles away. I'm going to check in the local paper and see if there is one more local. If not will wait until we are out that way.

Ended up with 14NSDs for March. :)

Yesterday I had the chance to go to c0stc0, spent £75 but saved £25 ( if I'd purchased from supermarket).

OH was given an @ldi voucher for £5 off and £40 shop, it expired today so went to @ldi on the way home, forgot my list and didn't keep a tally up as I went round. Spent £52 but that did include some beer for OH.

That means we have spent over £200 in a week on food/car food/toiletries/cleaning stuff. It had better last!

OH has been invited to go go-karting and an action packed weekend to celebrate friends/work mates birthdays during May and June. Waiting to see how much we are talking.

  • Still no pegging out, really falling behind with the washing. Not looking good for tomorrow either, but Saturday doesn't look too bad.

Have found a local place to take the vacuum. No charge to give it the once over and find the fault. Will drop off next week.

Today was NSD1. Need to update spending diary/budget and note the total spends for March. Need to get petrol tomorrow. Will drop nieces and nephews Easter eggs off tomorrow, keeping up appearances and all that.

Think we have a plan to sort DS1 out, got everything crossed. We have said we would/should be able to help out a bit, probably £100 per month.(I know it should go towards the debt but.....).

Got family coming for dinner over the weekend, just need to get a few bits for that. Can you believe it after all the money I've spent over the last week!! :(

  • I feel like I need a kick up the backside to get myself back on track. More spends today.....haircuts for OH and kids £24, had lunch out £18, spent £44 in sburys but that did include school trousers, bday present (mens top in sale £5) and special bday cards (save paying parking in town) plus the bits I need for Sunday lunch (feeding 10 people) and petrol £30.

Tomorrow need to get dog food, new letter box and drain cover. We should of got these bits today but everywhere was so busy and I just wanted to get home.

Will go out first thing to get the bits we need. Hoping the weather will brighten up so I can peg out!

Need money for next weeks childcare £100 too.

Thanks Verbatim, unfortunately the spends on the house are essential really.

  • We've had the heating on today, it was raining all day so pretty cold and windy. Was hoping it would be off full time by now :( !

Sometimes lots of expenses seem to come at once don't they. Hopefully once you've got all those bits for the house that will be it (for a while anyway ;) ) xx

We've got the heating on again tonight OH is cold.:(

They certainly do DFW. We can't afford to do the big expensive jobs but feel like we are doing our bit by doing the little less expensive ones.:)

Had a really busy day, went to get bits and pieces for house, spent £32, and dog food £9.50 and put £10 petrol in the other car. Came back OH fitted the letterbox and drain cover and then we sorted and cleaned all downstairs.

Pegged 3 loads out, dried better than I thought it would. Got the heated airer on (and the heating....oh my:eek:) just finishing it off.

Chilling out on the sofa, watching tv, glass of wine.......rock and roll.:rotfl:

  • We had a lovely day yesterday, lunch was yummy (so I say so myself :)), it was great to have everybody round (albeit a bit hectic) and it was NSD 2.

I did all the ironing in the morning. Have pegged another load out today.:)

Not sure what we are doing today. Could do with getting in the garden but DFW has been inspiring me with her diary to get some sorting out done. The trouble is everything is neatly stored away and what I start this sorting out process I know we are going to be in a mess, even though it would be temporary.

I should really have another blitz on fleabay as well.:(
