  • Still feel terrible, Saturday (from what I can remember!!) was a bit spendy at the carnival/fete. I felt that poorly that I'd of agreed to anything.:(. Didn't make it out on Saturday night, OH went with the kids......saved money on beer though as he had to drive.;)

Yesterday I was in bed most of the day, got up first thing barked a couple of requests about getting the washing done and pegged out. Asked OH to sort Fathers Day presents out.....which he did and got them delivered.

OH and the kids ended up having the dinner at my parents, which was great.

DS1 took DS3 to school for me this morning and I called work and told them I wasn't feeling 100% so wouldn't be in. HR full of sympathy as usual.

Spent most of the day as sleep...again. :(.

OH has given DS1 some money and only told me tonight. no idea where we are at regarding spends/budget etc.

  • Hope you're feeling better soon! And you finally relented to the 79p tin opener :T I hope it lasts you now :p

I also use a white vinegar solution, 1/3 vinegar to 2/3 cold water and soak everything fresh we buy in it for around 20 mins whilst i put the rest of the shopping away and everything lasts until we eat it usually! (I use white vinegar for everything though :p ) xx

I hope our current tin opener lasts 10 years :rotfl:

Yeah need to try something, thanks to you and mummy+2 for the tip.:)

  • Thank you Mummy+2, gillst and brizzle. I'm still not feeling 100%, but have managed to get out of bed this afternoon. Not sure if it's a bug or virus or what it is. :(

Anyway hope everybody is ok and hopefully normal service will resumed soon.

  • Goooood morning diary, I'm sort of back, still not quite right but I am going back to work tomorrow.:o. Thankfully nobody else has caught it....yet!

Have tried to update spending budget/diary, OH was using the car last week so we've used extra petrol (he's not a very economical driver lol) and food budget through the roof. I managed to do a meal plan/shopping list yesterday and OH went to the shop. We had run out of practically everything.

DS3 had 2 birthday parties yesterday, so extra spends there.

OH and DS had their haircut yesterday too, and took DSs shoes to be repaired as there is only 4 weeks left at school and I really don't want to buy another pair, mind you cost £6!

Have done meter readings this morning, and we have used nearly £50 over 2 weeks. We've had the fans going nearly every night and also the TVs have been on a lot lot more because of the football. Can't think of anything else it could be.

Have finally caught up with all the washing now :rotfl:

Car mot this week, got everything crossed! Haven't got as much as I hoped in the pot so hopefully nothing major.

Trying to work out costs for summer child care, £30 a day so need to be as economical as possible.

Hope everybody has a great Sunday. Going to have another chill out day. ;)

  • Went back to work today, I'm exhausted tonight.:o

Car in for MOT tomorrow......got everything crossed!

Have reduced the amount of time the hot water is on by an hour a day. Will see if anybody notices the difference.
