Today has been spendy  (can't remember the exact figures and too comfy to go and get the receipts
). £20 at the butchers, £45 in sburys and £40 in sburys.
We've had one set of parents around for dinner tonight and the other set are coming for dinner tomorrow, hence the extra spends......all about keeping up appearances.
I think that leaves us down to pence in the account, once all the DD have gone out at the start of next week.
Too be honest we had run out of a lot of things including store cupboard stuff, about £10 of these spends were on non food items.
No pegging out today, hope tomorrow's weather is better.:D
Must do meter readings in the morning.
OH now in a strop because the England game has been put on hold because of the weather over there. Me thinks it's going to be a long World Cup.

I have updated spending diary/budget and yes we will be down to pence in the account. In my head we were going to spend £60-£70 on shopping yesterday but we went over so that does only leave pence in the account.
Have just dropped DS off and the petrol light has come on ggrrrr. Going to have to take some money from leisure pot to pay for petrol.
Meter readings done, we are £24.48 in credit and have spent £28.57 in the last 2 weeks. I think that's quite high, could be DS2s games console and tv, DS1 cooking midnight snacks and extra showers. Room for improvement.
Got 2 loads on the line.:)
OH washing the cars, I'm going to tidy the kitchen and start preparing dinner tonight. Also going to try and get the ironing done.....well the uniforms at least:D
Hope everybody has a good day.

Yesterday was a NSD, and today should be too....will have to get some milk tomorrow. Hope the petrol can stretch until Thursday.
Had a bill from e0n, we are £24.28 in credit and have used 15.7kWh less gas than the same time last year. But only 0.5kWh less electric.:o
We wont be getting a big credit from e0n this time, last year we used the money to get the car through the MOT. I think we will have £250 towards the MOT in a few weeks. The service will just have to wait.

A bit of a mixed day so far........
This morning DS2 missed the bus so I had to drop him half way to school....with the petrol light flashing at me!!:( This meant I was running about 20 minutes late. I did manage to peg the 3rd load of washing out.:D
Then DS3 had a meltdown because he was going to be late.....which he wasn't, he just scrapped in as the bell went.
Checked our account when I got to work only to find that OH had gone over on his phone bill. We should of had £8.35(transferred the last pennies from the other account to make the £8) in the account and I was going to use that for petrol on the way home.....not now.
On the plus side I've got 3 loads pegged out and we've had notification from E0n that our DD is going down to £82 per month.:D
Just got to keep plodding.

Just wanted to say Hi
after starting a diary of my own I decided to read a few others. I stumbled across yours and have been gripped to it every since like a good book you can't put down lol I'm only up to the end of 2012, so a long way to go but I am finding it inspirational and heart warming
What I have lernt so far form 2012 are you are determained, you buy more cereal than a small county and can't be trusted in a supermarket, your hair and grass need cutting a awful lot and you need a medal for services to Ironing
) I wonder if this is still that case in 2014... hope I shall find out soon!

Hi Alice, sorry not been around for a while, but have just taken the opportunity of catching up with your posts. All sounds good (apart from your car!!). Hope DS1 does not eat you out of house and home, amazing how much more it can cost with one more mouth to feed. I'm sure him being home more than compensates though. Hope you are enjoying the current lovely weather and getting lots of loads out on the line. I know you do not want to wish the time away, but I am sure those four years will fly by0
