Just wanted to say Hi
after starting a diary of my own I decided to read a few others. I stumbled across yours and have been gripped to it every since like a good book you can't put down lol I'm only up to the end of 2012, so a long way to go but I am finding it inspirational and heart warming
What I have lernt so far form 2012 are you are determained, you buy more cereal than a small county and can't be trusted in a supermarket, your hair and grass need cutting a awful lot and you need a medal for services to Ironing
) I wonder if this is still that case in 2014... hope I shall find out soon!
Hi M+2, thank you for your post and you must have some staying power to read my ramblings.:)
Your description of me/us is absolutely spot on.:rotfl: it did make me laugh.
I shall look out for your diary. Good luck with your journey.

Hi Alice, sorry not been around for a while, but have just taken the opportunity of catching up with your posts. All sounds good (apart from your car!!). Hope DS1 does not eat you out of house and home, amazing how much more it can cost with one more mouth to feed. I'm sure him being home more than compensates though. Hope you are enjoying the current lovely weather and getting lots of loads out on the line. I know you do not want to wish the time away, but I am sure those four years will fly by
Hi gillst, hope everything is good with you. We've got everything crossed that the car isn't too expensive.
Yeah it's good to have DS1 home.
I've done a quick check today and we have 50 payments left on our DMP

DFW you can't beat a bit of pegging out.:rotfl:
I've made a jelly tonight, not very healthy but cheap and everybody can have jelly and fruit in their lunches tomorrow.

So I've made it to the end and wow what a journey you have had so far! You are doing a fab job even if you can't keep a tin opener for longer than 3 months
One of you recurring gripes is keeping fruit/veg fresh, have you tried washing your fruit/veg in a white vinegar solution and storing in stay fresh bags? I've been doing this for a year and my a!di stuff keeps for the week +

I must say I feel rough this morning, chest wheezing, sore throat, a hacking cough (sorry TMI), I ache all over......not good as we have a pretty much full on weekend.:(
Yesterday I called into @ldi spent £30. Got petrol, paid childcare, bday collections at work and window cleaner. Took cash out for weekend - carnival and party tonight (going to take the kids drinks with us).
Still need to get Father's Day presents!!
Had chippy tea last night, I've realised we've halved what we used to spend on a chippy tea, still not very healthy or MSE.
Hope everybody has a good day.......hope the rain holds off.

Hope you're feeling better soon! And you finally relented to the 79p tin opener :T I hope it lasts you now
I also use a white vinegar solution, 1/3 vinegar to 2/3 cold water and soak everything fresh we buy in it for around 20 mins whilst i put the rest of the shopping away and everything lasts until we eat it usually! (I use white vinegar for everything though) xx
