  • Ooh you're a day ahead of me on the NSD's I'm hoping today is number 7 :)

No sunshine here either :( BUT it's still dry and windy enough to put out the washing. It seems to be drying pretty quickly just would be nice to see a blue sky instead of a grey one I think ;)

DFW321 did you manage NSD 7 today?

The weather wasn't too bad first thing but it raining this afternoon quite heavily, now it just feels chilly and damp. I've put my fleece on......its the middle on June for heavens sake!!

DS3 missed swimming tonight as he has a nasty cough and cold. DS2 had football training tonight, should of paid subs but forgot money, so today ended up as NSD 8.

We are down to £2.31 in the bank account until OH gets paid tomorrow. Will have to pay the usual, childminder, lottery, petrol (should have enough to last, finger crossed), and get some food. I can't believe we need bread, milk, stuff for lunches, there's just enough milk for breakfast tomorrow!

I've had a statement from Bcard, I'm going to update the amount owing on our Stepchange budget, I know the figures are slightly out but we need to keep on track. We don't get statements from all of the accounts, might have to chase them up just to see where we are at.

  • DFW321, that's great, today will not be a NSD :o...not even a LSD!

Sounds like our house, the kids and OH are always hungry, the first things the kids do when they come in is open the fridge looking for something to eat instantly.........non of this making something like sandwich malarkey, tut tut.

I amended the bcard balance on step change, it put us just back over the £30K mark :(......but should come back down after this months payment has gone through.

Hi Alice..just popping by. Know how you feel...we seem to eat loads in this house too. I was hungry after my dinner and so gobbled an avocado and half a melon..and still on outlook for more :o Luckily have emptied the van of dry food so apart from fresh that should keep up going.

Kidney bean burgers went down well again yesterday... maybe not as nice as meat ones but certainly filling and yummy

My girls seem to be constantly eating at the moment, but there is nothing of them.

DD2 frequently eats Mr PGs dinners before he has had a chance to get home from work !! Its hilarious ! She feels terrible when I tell that she has just eaten dads dinner ! :rotfl:x

  • brizzle & Mrs PG, glad it's not just our (and DFW321s :))house in which everbody is constantly hungry.

brizzle, my answer when the kids are still hungry is a bowl of cereal......still haven't tried the burgers.:o

Mrs PG, aww bless DD, that would be our house.

Tonight have paid childminder, got petrol, called into the coop.....never go into a coop but had to run an errand on the way home, only picked up their bargains and bread and milk. Spent £9 ish but saved about £3.

Tomorrow night DS3 has football and DS2 has a cricket match...think we might treat ourselves to a chippy tea as me and OH will both be in different directions and back at different times.

I think its still chilly tonight. OH pegged out earlier, it was only light things and they've half dried so I've put them on the airer.....can't believe we've still got the airer out in June.:( Definately no heating on though...hehehe.

  • OH is driving me mad this morning. His phone is still playing up and he can now get a new one on his contract so he is itching to get it sorted.

Yesterday was a spend day too. DSs cricket was cancelled so called into A1di on the way home, spent £54 but that did include £10 on alcohol (Fathers day presents), £5 on toiletries When I was putting stuff in the freezer I left some chicken and pork out in the garage.......only found it this morning.

Still need to get a few things from sburys so will do a list and call in there later........after we've been to the phone shop!

Got to get a new registration light bulb (does that make sense?!) for the car.....MOT this week. gulp!

Had a chippy tea....£9.80  Think we'll stick to just chips next time.

I've posted all the information to the Tax Credit people, DS1 course was more hours per week than I thought, fingers crossed we haven't been overpaid too much after all.

Spends so far this month, petrol £55, food £240 (I'm sure this includes some non-food items :(), NSDs 8.

    Update on pots - £2 pot still at £82, 20p at £63.80.

Can't believe it's meter reading day tomorrow, 2 weeks since I last did it......I know I'm sad.;)

Hope everybody has a great day. xx

    Hi

That bit about your OH made me think that there has been a bit about buying the handset and then getting a cheap giffg@ff sim. Not sure what he wants.

I could have done it but opted for a contract with a new phone and a lower monthly charge than before. But maybe worth looking into? If you can afford the upfront cost of course...I CBA but probably should have done so. Just have to pick the MSE battles eh? And my life is too too full at the moment

Have a great weekend...I am still lounging in bed although vaguely supervising kids doing HW and revision!!:rotfl:

  • Well good day/bad day!!

We went off the mobile phone shopssss! After checking out the deals etc.....did look into the sim only deals too (thanks brizzle, how lucky are you having a lie-in and chilled out morning:)) .......we came home............without a new phone:eek: OH is now armed with a few of deals to look through so that's what he'll be doing this week. Can't believe he's decided to wait.

On the bad side, we called into sburys on the way back, with a list.....but still managed to spend £40. Mind you the freezer, fridge and cupboard now brimming with food, the bulk of which [STRIKE]should[/STRIKE] had better last 2 weeks.

Don't think we're going out tomorrow as such, will have a cooked breakfast and see how the day goes.....really depends on the weather.

  • OH is having a lie-in, let him off this week as it is Fathers Day. He's got a card (not HM :o) and sburys own plain choc with nuts bar...his favourite. The weather looks good at the moment but think we'll just potter about here and chill out.

Have done meter readings, we are currently £192 in credit.:)

Today should be NSD 9, money all sorted for this week, I currently have 14p in my purse so there should be some more NSDs next week.
