  • The company at the BBQ was OK yesterday.......but the food was awful.:( I'm not a snob but I'm not a fan of burgers/sausage that cost 99p for 200.....if you get my drift. Needless to say the chicken we took went in about 30 seconds and I ended up have burger.........and at 1.15am this morning I ended up doing a great impression of a cat with a furball stuck (sorry folks :o).

I feel pretty rough today but plodding on.

I don't have any money in my purse, today should be a NSD, number 2. :)

  • ewww yuk. I used to eat all sorts when I was younger but it seems my taste buds have gotten used to nicer foods (more expensive ..) these days. I will only eat certain meats now & same for a lot of other stuff too food wise :o I bet they loved that you brought something decent which is why it was pounced upon  ! Cheeky blighters, cook it at home and eat it before you go next time!

Hope you're feeling better later! I'm on NSD #3 this month so far :T (my month started on 31st and i've had one spend day) i'm aiming for 15 which I hope will help with summer hols round the corner and also 2 birthday's next month! (eep!! Just remembered I have a birthday in 3 days too!!!!!!)

  • DFW, I knew that would happen with the food, :(. I took some strawberries, cream and meringues and made 'Eton Mess'.....I love that dessert :o,.........we didn't get any of that either!! Still don't feel 100%, had ½ a BLT yesterday for tea and cereal at work for lunch today but the strange thing is I'm not hungry..........doubt that feeling will last, hehehe.

I think today should be another NSD, number 3........DFW I'm trying to keep up with you.:D

The timers we had free are really great (I'm so easily pleased these days!)...........DS2 who used to spend ages in the shower is keeping to the timer saving on loads of hot water.......the only exception is me and I have too much hair so I'm allowed 8 minutes. :)
Although we're not on a water meter it's keeping the amount of hot water we use in check.

  • I don't usually put a title on my posts but this title is quite fitting.

OH was going to give blood tonight and DS1 was going to meet him there straight from college and get lift home to save £1 bus fare, and sit in the car to save paying carparking £2. OH arrived at the pay and display carpark and called DS1 who was about 5minutes away, so instead of waiting for him to sit in the car (DS1s car so he could move it on if the traffic warden appeared) he took £2 out of DS1s change pot and purchased a ticket.

Now I know it's probably me but all OH had to do is wait 5 minutes max, but oh no he couldn't wait, that £2 is 2 loaves, 8 pints of milk, 2 bags of sugar, his works lottery etc etc.

I know I over reacted when they come home but I just find it frustrating. So now I'm bad cop and the kids feel sorry for OH.

On the plus side we have a small freezer coming FOC, friend of friend who was going to take it to the tip.

Fleabay parcels all done, so tomorrow will sort of be spend day although the postage is already paid for.......does that still count as a NSD???;)

  • Oh no *slapped wrists* to DH!! I'd have been ticked off too. We watch every penny for them to go and waste them it sometimes seems :( !

On the other hand yay to free freezer :T and I wouldn't class ebay postage spends as 'your spends' so unless you spend on something else I would class it as a NSD (not sure what others would do though...) I have a spendy day tomorrow so if you manage your NSD you'll have caught me up ;) i'm up to 4 now :T

p.s i'm thinking of buying an egg timer or something similar to do the same for showers, DS1 will spend up to 45 mins in there if i let him  !!!

YAY to the freezer...brilliant news. See it all comes to she who waits....;)

Really pleased. And I know what you mean re the parking..really annoying but only a quid..I think he is learning...(slowly..:rotfl:) so dont let it affect your evening too much. the freezer makes up for it! oh and the BBQ food, (really nasty that you got ill too)....but on the other hand you are remaining true to your principles with not eating rubbish...and that's important too.

I love Eton Mess too...another contender for our DF party methinks!!!:D

I'll go with that DFW and not count my fleabay postage, so so far still a NSD but DS2 has a cricket match tonight so as long as he takes money for the match from the pot and OH takes a drink and snacks for DS3 we should be OK!!

It might be worth checking if your water supplier give out free timers.;)xx

Thanks brizzle, never did I think I would get so excited about receiving a free freezer...:o :) I'm still not feeling 100% or very hungry.....but doubt I'll of lost even an ounce this week.:(

Definitely add Eton Mess onto the list.:)

I didn't stay in a bad mood for long, just long enough to get my point across.

OH has had his paperwork for the bike to work scheme, we'll be 'paying' just under £10 per week so a few pounds more than I thought, but he gets a more suitable bike and he's going to wear a cycle helmet!!

I've run out of 'stuff' for my [STRIKE]mane[/STRIKE] hair, hopefully I can pull off this dishevelled look until the weekend.

If that is the gross amount then you will only miss around £7 a week from his net pay.

I think that's the gross amount, I haven't seen the paperwork as OH signed it at work. But thinking about it know when we put the figures in the calculator on the website we would be paying £7 a week. Thanks Workie.

I have noticed tonight that DS3s school shoes are wearing through at the front, it looks like he's been using that foot as a brake when he's on the bikes/scooters at break time. tut tut. There's only about 5 weeks left, so he be OK as long as it doesn't rain.:rotfl: He's got some black trainers he'll have to go in those if it comes to it.:o

    Today was a NSD. :)

  • What a lovely day! :)

Our free Leg0land tickets came yesterday.:j

Yesterday was a spend day. Paid childminder, went to sburys only spent £16.16, got petrol, paid lottery and put £20 in the pot.:)

We are collecting the freezer tomorrow, it's only a small one (I'm certainly not moaning!) so once its up and running will go food shopping again.

Haven't done any washing for the last few days, so will have about loads to do tonight......it's looking good for pegging out this weekend.:)

Haven't got anything on tomorrow except DS2 going to a football workshop with his football team........was very cheeky and asked if he could get a lift with someone.:o

DS2 has a cricket match on Sunday, I plan to catch up on the housework tomorrow so we can all go and watch.

Must book car in for MOT. :(

    Hope everybody is OK.xx
