  • Looks like another lovely day. I've put 4 loads of washing out, the line just won't take anymore. Dropped DS2 off to catch his lift. Emptied the dishwasher and have just nipped on here.

Have updated spending diary/budget, it's another lean week!

    Update on £2 pot - £82, haven't had a £2 coin for ages. 20p pot upto £60. NSDs 5.

my weeks are always lean weeks!! managed to keep my shopping to 50 pounds last week and spent 50 pounds this week. (2 ad 2 child) saying that stocks are lower than low but still plently to eat. we not physically low on food on our plates.
its so cold today where i live and were sitting with blankets on. was a fete in the next town but didnt go as these things cost money. thinking of going for a bike ride tomorrow ( weather permitting) if not were going to a local hall it has live music and is a real family afternoon. the cost of this in total with drinks will still be 15 pounds so thats more than i want to spend. my ideal day is a warm day!!

That's good going on the food bill wuvvies. I really struggle with keeping our family fed within budget, although there is 5 of us there are 4 adult appitites! Hope you've had better weather today.

  • I forgot we were going to nephews football presentation last night...eek! So off we went with £15, brought 2 rounds of drinks (just for us) and some raffle tickets and came home with £1.75.......and we didn't win on the raffle!!

This morning I pegged 2 loads out, went off to DSs cricket match all wrapped up as it was quite cold and by mid morning the sun was out and it was really quite pleasant. Spends there were £2 cricket subs out of the pot.:)

Called into sburys on the way home...petrol light came on on the way back from cricket......and got petrol, and food for the week including food for the freezer, spent £65!

I got £20 cash and when we got back to the car mentioned to OH that we need to pay for DS3 school trip. There would be enough money in the 'pot' for the trip but that would mean we wouldn't have any money for OHs football. I stupidly suggested we only put £15 petrol in the car and use the £5 for football, to which he replied "OK, great, I'll go this week but next week" not sure how that helps us this week but decided it wasn't worth falling out over........but we will need more petrol by Tue/Wed.:(

Really poor week on fleabay, out of 8 items only sold 1.:o

Ironing all done. Bus and milk money all sorted so should have some more NSDs this week.

Hope everybody has had a great weekend. xx

  • Thanks mummy, I think I'll be OK until tomorrow, OH went to football in DSs car. False economy really as he'll end up putting some petrol in next time he uses it.

OH has had another letter from Aktiv Kapital.:( I've giving suggestions on how we could deal with them but I not sure I could do it.:o

    Yesterday was NSD 6 :)

Me and OH have had another heart to heart, I know he'll probably never take an active interest in the spending diary/budget but he has said he'll try and keep up with other things. It wasn't anything like the meltdowns we've had previous but I just want to keep the momentum going on the debt busting, also on keep our relationship going in the right direction.

    P.S. Where's the sunshine gone?????

    xx

Sun is shining bright way up North in Orkney :)
Its just a bad day, Not a bad life ..
  • I'm pleased that somebody got some sunshine today Mara.:)

    Today was NSD7.

We've had tea, cleared away, I've helped DS2 sort his bedroom again!! (Well I stood in the doorway doing lots of pointing and giving out words encouragement ;)). I've taken out some furniture that he doesn't need, mainly a chair from a particular Swedish furniture store, think we could sell that.:)

Posted fleabay item today, postage covered.

Off to chill on the sofa with a cheeky glass of vino.xx

  • Ooh you're a day ahead of me on the NSD's I'm hoping today is number 7 :)

No sunshine here either :( BUT it's still dry and windy enough to put out the washing. It seems to be drying pretty quickly just would be nice to see a blue sky instead of a grey one I think ;)
