  • Today was NSD number 11. OH's football was cancelled so we're £3 up this week. Also had a voucher for a free eye test in the post.:) A bit chilly but no way are we putting the heating on!!:o

I know DFW its still wrong, wrong, wrong tonight,:rotfl: it's more like November here tonight but we are not going to put the heating on. :D

I've sorted the dogs insurance out.....cancelled with sburys and they didn't even try and get me to stay, no incentive, nothing....their loss!

Today was NSD 12 for me, although OH took a £1 from the football money and brought a newspaper. He hasn't brought one for ages so couldn't and wouldn't and didn't grumble at him.

DS3 wants to start Beavers, there is any open evening at a new group week after next, £10 joining fee and then £3.50 per week. He already does football and swimming so we'll see........my predicament is that the DS1 and DS2 tried all sorts of different activities and I feel that DS3 should have the same opportunities.

P.S. Hair is back to normal (well normal-ish for me!), don't think I can skrimp and save on my hairstuff.:o

We put the £2 left from OHs football to good use as DS3 got a swimming badge this week, it was £2.50, luckily OH had the change from the paper!

Today have paid childminder, both of us paid works lottery and put £20 petrol in the car. OH has just been to the shop to get some bread....this is where I miss the freezer.

Went and got a present for my friend who's just had her first baby (bargain from M&S sale), called into see her, her baby is soooo cute, bless. I'm too old and too poor to get broody!

OHs got to go into town tomorrow, so he's got the list to get some cards, lined paper (can't believe we don't have an A4 lined pad in this house) and put a disposable camera in to be developed (FOC). He got the quote for his bike today......hopefully his works won't take too long to sort it out.

I have pegged out all week.:D Can't wait to do the meter readings this week and see if there is any difference.....sad I know.:o

We are out Saturday night to a 21st birthday......heaven knows what I'll wear but at least my hair is back under control.LOL I have been really watching what I eat the last few days...then tonight I've had a cup of tea and half a packet of biscuits....not good. I'm blaming the fact that the football is on every TV in our house. Not a valid excuse I know.:(:o

Looking forward to a long weekend.:) xx

Today has been another spend day.:( We went out this morning and then called into my sisters for lunch, I said we'd pick some rolls, ham etc up.....which we did....£29 at the check out, OK so it do include stuff for home but even so!!

Also called into the farmshop, spent £14, I nearly choked when she told me, managed to keep smiling but inside I was '', I can't afford to go everytime but like to support our local shops.

brizzle - what are we like?!?:rotfl: I've got loads and fruit, veg and salad so should be a healthy eating week.

DS3's paperwork has started to come through for studying abroad. We've paid to have his qualifications evaluated. Really need to get the emergency fund built back up again.

I had a bit of 'wobble' on the way to work yesterday and ended up in tears, they played an old Rod Stewart song and I can remember my parents listening to it when I was young. I had a very happy and privileged childhood......just hope our kids will look back and think their childhood was happy too.

We've got a budget of £25 for tonight as we are all going to the party.

Weekly pot update - 20p pot upto £50.20 and £2 pot upto £76.:)

    Have a great weekend everyone.xx

  • i've had some spendy days too :( I moan at the end of the month because I have nothing to spend, and I also moan at the beginning of the month after payday because I feel guilty about spending anything at all (no pleasing some people lol)

I really want to try our local farm shop but I am dreading getting to the till and doing the whole  thing too and then feeling guilty about it for the rest of the month!

DD keeps asking to go to dance classes and i've put it off so far but am thinking I best let her go soon. I used to let ds1 go to everything he asked for. Oh and ds1 wants to do army cadets now so i need to see how much it will cost as well as the dance lessons for dd cos I can't let one do their hobby and not the other (argh!)

I've done a comparision on the receipt from the farm shop, of course A1di is much cheaper but I find it doesn't have a very good shelf life. The apples, celery, carrots, lettuce were cheaper than sburys but the baking/sweet potatoes and tomatoes were a tad more expensive so swings and roundabouts as they say. Think I probably bought more than I would usually, be it does look a much better quality.:)

  • I'm running a bit behind schedule this morning.......we actually had a lie-in until 9.30:eek:, Ok we didn't get in until 11.30pm but 9.30am!!! can't remember the last time I slept in until that late, feel like I've missed half the morning!

I'd put the washing machine on timer when we came in last night so 1 load already finished, 2nd load nearly done. OH has gone to borrow a lawn mower........he still hasn't done anything about taking ours to be fixed.

Have done the meter readings, we are £177 in credit and I worked out we have used £34 worth over 2 weeks, really pleased with that.

Not sure how much we spent last night, you could buy a 1.5ltr bottle of 'cola' for £2 and then have as many glasses as you need, kids didn't drink as much as I thought they would, we don't usually have 'cola' in the house.....unlessOH is mixing it with JD.;) I know we had 2 bottles and OH was drinking pints so will check with OH when he comes back and I'll sort out bus money, football money etc.

    Today should be a NSD!!!
