Froddy - I don't know Derby (city) too well (well not the centre) and haven't been shopping there for eons although I can negotiate it. And get from Nottingham to Derby and back again thanks to Brian Clough;)

    Snap!

Can suggest some nice places for walking, bookshops and eating -but i just dont do shopping much. I bet if you fancied Chatsworth or something there would be one or two of us who could meet you. We tend to walk and climb in Derbyshire peaks as Leics is sadly flat.

Cloakroom and back hall done plus DS1 cleared the family room, both boys have done new bedrooms (new rule - no pocket money or refills of snack box till new bedroom is tidy!). Ironing is done, just need to re-make beds and get some more WM on.

Looking forward to JJ list - she is after all queen of the early start!

  • Well ive got a broken toe! and they wont do anything with it either now, so more rest for me and more housework for DH :rotfl: however that means me telling him what needs doing for the most part as he only notices the obvious bits, but its better than nothing.

kitchen is spotless as he really went to town on it yesterday and today we have had a very lazy day. ive done some washing and got a load of baby washing in, and have another 2 loads possibly 3 of baby washing still to do  so must crack on with that. my aim for next week is to keep on track of the washing and ironing as i will iron sat down (just tops and jumpers mainly as bedding will be sent out or can wait for my mum to visit)

flying is not happening for the rest of the day, so will be joining in with the new thread later and hoping to complete most of it next week.

Sorry for some reason I can't overtype the link - may be because I'm on my laptop which seems to do everything differently!

Apparently my children are doing tea for me and DH - they've done a menu and we've got to sit at the table on our own while they wait on us! I have no idea where this idea has come from - I'm having a jacket potato!

    Well done mudders!

Seafarers - make sure you rest that foot.

Way to go Mudbath - every year I ask if you want to do mine.... :A

I can't go on the other thread. JJ has clearly been employing spyders .

seafarers - huge hugs. Such a scary thing to happen, glad the damage is so little. I got knocked over by Lu Tze dog at 7 months with DS2 and was just grateful to land on my back rather than my stomach. I feel sorry for your DH, mine went through mountains of guilt that he wasnt there to catch me, and that he was (as always) at work when we needed him.

Have spent a couple of days puzzling over my towel rail (radiator type) in the bathroom as it was cold. Trie dbleeding it - was fine. No valves

or so I thought. There are two 'valves', at the bottom, just shiny with no indicator but I fiddle with them and they turned. Tried them both turned towards me then realised there were four possible combinations and then narrowed that down to 2 as they probably need turning fdifferent ways and cracked it. 1 hot towel rail!:D

Laugh is I probably closed them dusting it!

Ooo - lived here three years, and I've never worked out how the towel rail works....you may have found the answer...*scuttles off to harrass the towel rail*
