Weekly Flylady Thread 14th November 2011

Welcome to the weekly Flylady thread. If you need help organising your week or getting motivated when it comes to housework then come and join us.
There are 3 levels per day with Level 1 being very basic, level 2 in the middle, up to 3 which is more advanced and time consuming. Feel free to mix and match to suit your own personal circumstances.
Every room comes back around next week so please don’t stress about catching up
These lists are only suggestions and not a must do list; you are more than welcome to post and follow your own lists.
Also adding a declutter mission each day will help to gradually clear the clutter and make flying easier.
A few of the basics before we start the week
Hotspots are areas where if one thing gets put there, loads of other things follow!
Daily routines are anything you need to do on a daily basis like washing, swish and swipe kitchen and bathroom, ironing, making beds, vacuuming high traffic areas, making meals etc.
Night-time routines are all things which make getting ready in the morning easier, preparing clothes for the next day, making lunches, swish & swipes of the kitchen and tidying the living room before you go to bed plus personals like shower/brush teeth etc.
Fling Boogie - stick on some loud music, grab a bin bag and whiz around the house finding items that can go out with the rubbish, recycling, for charity shop, basically anything that will stop it cluttering your home.
Swish and swipe/S&S means have a quick wipe over an area such as a sink or toilet to prevent the build up of dirt. This is usually done on a daily basis
HHE/HHC/HHI Half Hour exercise/challenge/ironing ... run around for 30 minutes to the Benny Hill music frantically cleaning exercising or ironing.. other music may be used if you prefer!

pardon?
_pale__pale__pale_
Actually there is some sense to applying
- does it earn its space?
- have I read it
-if not will I ever read it?
- is it worth anything? Rare/signed/first edition? In my case - will it pay for some nice worktops? Books or worktops - my version of butter or guns .
Count me in. I will try really hard to lose some books to the charity shop or to list on Amazon this week.
(hyper-ventilates:o:o:o)

Good to see you back. Don't get depressed about it - I used to but nothing changes and it is such a negative waste of energy. I try and do something about it in the hope that others will join in. If that fails then I print off the list and allocate people jobs - reminding them of pocket money if I have to. Housework Blues is quite a helpful book.
My DH has always done absolutely nothing - he worked long hours and contributed a lot of money but I have been effectively on my own for years. One of the nicest thing about him being off has been his realisation of just how much I do, and him finally getting on with stuff when I am not about to interfere or resent it
GreenbeeI am just getting better about not keeping things I wouldn't read again!
We got some clear varnish/wax yesterday at the tool shop which looks just lovely on the oak for my kitchen :j. I hate dark oak and disliked everything we had tried so far so this is great.
Beds are re-made, and stuff is out for the morning. Just realised George, Don't Do That had been hair ball sick in my clean work jumpers pile  so re-washed those.
Mudbath - this will be my last year of accounts as I stopped being self employed. Only one cheque received in the tax year, and very few claimable costs so I am making a bigger job of it than I need to but I do hate doing it so very much.'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need' Marcus Tullius Cicero0 -
Trying again this week and hoping that my various broken bits play ball
, will write a list tomorrow morning
