  • I feel I can only post up jobs done one at a time and don't want to post too long a list as I would be overwhelmed.
The industriousness/normality of the housewifery/househusbandry? is incredible.
One job I might tackle is bring flat up to standard instead of getting someone else to do it, this is a monumental challenge.
I look forward to trying to integrate myself with all the domestic love on this thread.
    best wishes to all.

  • I am in again this week. Thanks to JJ for the lists, and FCC for keeping the thread going :T

I need to study tonight (still) I have been meaning to do it all day, but keep getting distracted :( I have sent the invoice I needed to do, and cooked dinner & emptied the TD. I need to put the DW on. Then no more excuses! Deadlines looming

I had to remove a virus from my lappy that had arrived via FB. I didn't even open the link  Never mind. All seems ok now :)

I will update lists later, but work first.

    Evenin' all!

Mudbath - well done with the accounts :T

Thank you for the lists again his week.
I'm feeling quite positive about what I managed to get done last week. I was finding the amount of work that needed doing in the garden a bit daunting, but I did manage to tackle quite a bit of it just by telling myself I'd go out & do one job, then come back in!

Monday - All downstairs apart from kitchen, LR & DR
This doesn't mean that you've got to do the bedrooms and bathroom if you live in a bungalow LW
    Level One
    Hoover/Sweep/Mop all floors
    Level Two
    Dust all fluffy areas
    Clean front and back doors
    Level Three
    Clean skirting boards
    Clear a hotspot
    Clean any windows

    Declutter Mission
Fill a bag for getting rid of - there are a lot of Christmas fayres coming up or CS.

Tuesday - Living Room, Dining Room
    Level One
    Clear floors
    Level Two
    Hoover/Sweep/Mop floors
    Dust all fluffy areas
    Level Three
Empty seats/sofas and put stuff away or at least pile it neatly
    Wipe and water plants
Hoover under furniture you can move easily

    Declutter Mission:
Sort those books out - which can you get rid of?
Got some ready for Bookcrossing, so I'll label those & pass them on.

    love to all,

    Cally_C - thank you! I'm still celebrating!
Mumto5 - yeahhhhh!!!! (apart from DH being away longer)
Juliejim - So rude of me, I didn't say thank you for the list - THANK YOU!!!!!

Flying - dh sorting kitchen as he made a roast. I've no problem with him cooking (obviously!) but he's now agreed to tidy up after himself as he does use every single pot!

Why is there nothing on tv now Downton is finished? Think i'll go and declutter a book. I can't even finish it and say it's part of my declutter mission as it's on my kindle:rotfl:.

    Night all xx
  • I'm in - thank you juliejim :D

I'm liking tomorrow's list as I only have to do a small hallway :D

cally, Hex, valli - Thanks for the comments re: Derby - I'm not fussed about shopping so will look at the Cathedral and exhibitions. I'd love to go to Chatsworth but I won't have the car as I'm going on the train. However, if anyone is in Derby or can get there on Saturday (lunchtime-ish) I'm happy to meet up.

kazw - it's not quite the Pole but is inside the Arctic Circle with the possibility of seeing the Northern Lights! The woman organising it has been before so should know all that needs to be done. I'm leaning towards going ......

Oh and I've just had an email from a lady in Canada whose father was on the same submarine as my grandfather when it was scuppered off Corsica ......
