He lives with his mother. The father says he doesn't want to know the baby at all and the mother since they split up hasn't bothered to ask how my daughter or the baby are.0

My mum used reverse psychology on me. Bit of a risky strategy, looking back, but by offering me copious quantities of alcohol, I had absolutely no interest in drinking growing up, and to this day, I drink only very infrequently! Sad really, Epona. My way of rebelling was being good. :rotfl:0

If it worked then it can only be a good thing :-)
At the end of the day I hope in time my daughter finds a good lad who CHOOSES to be a father because he cares about the baby.
Zara33 it might interest you that according to SS you don't have to be the biological father to be on the birth certificate. Apparently if the mother and 'new' father agree his name can go on there. Fair play to those blokes out there who love 'their' children enough to do that. My ex husband pays maintanice for his stepchildren (my children) because HE CHOOSES TO. He loves them and wants to make sure they are provided for. If I could afford to do without it I would.
ps. he is not a millionaire like adam stated (can't get over that one!) it would be nice though if he was as he works very hard and deserves it as he's a very special guy.0 -
Strange how Adam has disappeared and isn't throwing slander anymore.0

Have just come home ... this thread has certainly grown!
This Bebo thing - I have read Charl's profile and can't see anything out of the ordinary for a fifteen year old girl.
Does anyone have a link to his page?
Still not really sure what to believe ... xGone ... or have I?0 -
Adam keeps his page private most of the time so people can't view it. I've seen it a few time inbetween and on it there are comments he makes to his new 15 year old girlfriend. Though no doubt soon as he reads this he'll delete them.0

I am certainly more convinced by epona than the OP, and I don't think they are the same person as epona has a maturity far beyond a childish prank.
epona,
You obviously care a great deal for your daughter, and it must be very hurtful to read some of the things written on this thread. Your daughter sounds like a handful, but that doesn't make her a bad person (as some people have implied), she is just a teenager (and I have met much worse!). The fact is that women much older than fifteen can be taken in by manipulative men ... me for one!
Just to say best of luck for the future, to you, your daughter and your soon to be granddaughter.
Your daughter is very lucky to have your support xGone ... or have I?0 -
Thankyou dmg24 that's very kind :-)
I'm happy to say that even though my daughter was a handful she definatly isn't now. The way she is dealing with the pregnancy makes me very proud of her. Its alot for her to go through. She's been in hospital over night 3 times in recent months, once for an inflammed breast bone that was very painful and was affecting her breathing and twice to do with her pregnancy, she was very grown up about the whole thing. It was horrid leaving her the 2 nights on her own when she was on the maternity ward but she coped very well. It's the same place she'll be so at least shes been there and knows what its like. Shes been poked and proded by medical people and not moaned once.
Shes got her room all ready for the baby and spent hours ironing all the clothes we've got ready for the baby.
It's not really hurtful to read the comments as people aren't in the situation so make judgements when they don't understand we're all guilty of that sometimes. It's all very well saying my child would never do xyz but how many parents know what goes on out of eyesight? for all they know maybe some of their children are upto far worse. It's often the parents who are last to realize.
There are far worse teenagers out there and to be honest how my daughter is now is FAR better than many teenagers I see out and about.
Since adams gone we have been able to rebuild our relationship and I can honestly say it is better than I had ever hoped for or even thought possible. My daughter confides in me and we haven't argued in literally months! how many mums with 15 yo daughter can say that?0
