In that case you listened to your body. Glad things are going ok for your OH in the courtesy car. That must be one relief.
chevI want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?

Second you on that ...real bacon with no water in and proper roasted hams..yum
Their quality is definitely top notch.I go there as they sell more organic fruit/veg and a lot of the stuff is locally sourced.I guess their producers get paid the proper rate for the goods unlike some other stores that put the poor farmers out of business.
My favourite Booths store is Garstang though as that is big...there's one across the road from the hospital in Preston so will have a look in there when I go for my rads0 -
Had another lazy day today as all I did was wash/dry/put away the pots, phoned the taxi hire company regarding faulty meter (turns out need to deal with our office for that as they rent the meters from them so DH will pop in tomorrow after morning shift) and renewed and paid my house insurance.
I still have my accounts to bring up to date and sorting/filing/recycling paperwork.
I need to chase the social to see if they are any further with my going in to the support group so that I can get some sick pay.
Think that's enough for now0 -
Sounds like you're just taking a step at a time and doing the basics, Taxi, and thats enough, isn't it.
Thinking of you.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
The one near the hospital is good a lot larger than it looks... Free parking as well for when you have to go to the hospital.. There is also a couple of little shops there... a charity shop, newsagents and chemist... The booths at Penwortham is huge but would be a bit out of your way. Not been to the Garstang one....Like you I do like the ethical value of paying farmers the right amount. Got to say though Tesco organic range is really good as well, and quite often they have 3 for 2 special offers on them.... Their tomatoes are great.....:o
Ditto to what Karma says as well re you are doing good on doing the basics .. A few lazy days are probably much needed....0 -
Bast am sorry I just can't bring myself to go in a Tesco store..I hate everything they do from ripping farmers off, ripping customers off , using the work programme(if they've got jobs for work programme then they can employ an unemployed person to do the job instead of free labour for them) ,land they buy and keep so that nobody else can buy it,killing small businesses, false offers etc etc.0

Karma you are absolutely right doing basics is good enough. You know me though always feel lazy if I don't do stuff. It's annoying when the minds willing but the body isn't.0

Today was another lazyish day (getting to be a habit)
Phoned accident management firm as hadn't heard a thing from them since they took the case on.Seems that the assessor has been to look at car and we are awaiting his report before next step.
DH was supposed to take cab to office to have meter sorted but couldn't be bothered.I can't do it as took myself off cab insurance the other week when I renewed it.
Phoned social about my ESA and they returned my call about 3 hours later.Apparently, they have sent for my old file and she thinks they should have it back tomorrow and she assured me they would deal with it as a priority...hopefully.they will.
Tomorrow I will go to WWs then when hubby comes home we'll get the shopping,do the banking and probably have lunch out as he's off from about 11am...will do us good to get out.
This rain has made him really busy on the cab which is a welcome bonus. No flooding in this area but feel bad for all the people that are flooded.0
