After taking the diagnostics tests for Maths and English I printed the results and took them to the centre.
In English I was already working at Level 2 over all but there were a couple of areas at Level 1 so I had a couple of Modules to do and have done those tonight plus the mini tests so all I have to do now for English is a couple of assignments and the test so think I can pass the English this week...because I was level 1 in a couple of areas I got it for free.

In my Maths tests I'm apparently way past a level 2 on my diagnostics so will have to pay for that Test..think it's somewhere between £30/£40...so won't take long to pass that either.

Then just my CV to do and I think I'll be ready to be employed (if anyone will have me)

Not up dated for a couple of days as wanted to get my English coursework done.I have completed the modules and coursework(not bad in less than a week)..so will pop to the centre in the morning and hopefully I'll do a practice test and a real test and pass.

I now only have £11 left out of my £250 budget and have 6 more days to go yet..to be honest I got it 5 days early last month so I've done well for my 1st month but need to do better.hopefully,will only need bread and milk

Good Luck on the test and your doing well on the shopping budget, and if you like turkey Mr M is doing the frozen 1's at half price, but I don't know for how long, price's start from £5.

I have had an horrendous day and just want to F....ing scream !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Went to the centre this morning only to find they'd disappeared off the face of the Earth and that the staff were made redundant yesterday afternoon.So no test done obviously.
There is another Learning Direct centre in town so went there only to find things aren't as simple as they could be regarding doing a test there.Due to the original centre having received the original funding and a course can only be funded once, I may have to fund it myself or they are seeing if they can put me through it somehow..I will not have any answers from them until next week.I am going to see them next Thursday.
I have phoned Learn Direct themselves and my complaint along with other peoples has been forwarded to Customer Services who will be in touch within 5 working days to (1)Let me know how I can get my ECDL certificate (2)Let me know what my options are..they also mentioned the funding issue.
Whatever,it is not my fault so why should I pay?

I was already fed up anyway as we were due to go to Torquay for two weeks tomorrow (we could really do with the break ) but had to cancel it due to lack of funds.

Isn't life great?..I don't know why I bother and I really do feel like crying.I just feel so sad as I'm trying hard to better myself and get back to work
