Friday I enjoyed the facial..it was very relaxing.Picked JJ up from school and got a few bits from Aldi.
Saturday we had a lazy morning followed by a trip to the shops to buy JJ some new clothes and a colouring book and crayons for his trip away..we are all prepared now.
Today we went to something called bubble and bounce basically it was about a dozen giant inflatables and a couple of fairground rides and for £5 he got to run and bounce around like a loon for 45 mins followed with a free ice lolly..it was worth every penny. We then walked along the canal for a bit and around the place before driving to the garden centre where we enquired whether they had any room left on the cream tea canal cruise. They said they could take us at a reduced rate as there wouldn't be any cream teas for us as they are pre ordered. So instead of charging £15 each they charged £10 for me and £8 for JJ...the best bit is they had stuff left over after serving so they gave us a couple of sandwiches each and a cream scone each plus a little cake and I had tea and he had hot chocolate..we only had a little less to eat then the ones that had paid full price so it was bargainous..the weather was lovely and JJ went on to the deck to help the boatmaster and sound the horn at the bridges...he really loved it and said he loves staying with grandma and going out with me as he gets to see the country and explore...lol
Think I broke him though as 5 mins after we got in the car I was thinking he was quiet only to look in my rear view mirror to find him fast asleep.
When we got back he flopped on to the chair to watch the last bit of Winnie the Pooh. He's had his tea and is now in his jammies ready for his bed to dream up his next adventure.
Still waiting for new grandaughter to be born..hope it'll be soon x0 -
