Not posted for a few days as nothing going on here. It's all pretty mundane which in many ways is good.
Had my mammogram yesterday and blood tests and am awaiting my appointment for CT scan which will be sometime in June.I don't like having tests as they never give me good news..LOL.
Other than that I've had a really quiet week as was quite tired which I guess is to be expected as part of my recovery.
Today,I need to get some shopping and go to the bank to deposit the takings.I also need to do some washing and cleaning before JJ comes tonight and re make his bed.
I haven't decided what we're doing this weekend but if it's nice bubble and bounce is still on until sunday tea time so may take him there again as he really enjoyed that last week and is quite bargainous at £5...
As I said all pretty mundane stuff...next weekend we have London and Legoland to look forward to.

Yep, mundane is definitely good - and, after all, you need to grow your energy for London and Legoland :)

Well today didn't go to plan one little bit..LOL
I was having a nice sleep this morning when my phone rang.It was my DIL ringing me to say my new grandaughter had arrived at 8.50am.So that was lovely news ..a beautiful 8lb bundle of scrumptioness...
I knew this would throw my day out as I hadn't bought anything for her as I hate to tempt fate and you can't guess how big the baby is going to be nor if it really will turn out to be the sex predicted so I knew that I needed to go and buy something before visiting.
I rearranged everything in my head for the day whilst making phone calls to DD2 and arranging visiting times.I had just a few hours before JJ was due to be dropped off at 4pm ish to get him sorted out and pick DD2 up from work at 5.30pm and head to the hospital for 6pm visiting.
So I grabbed a quick brew contemplating how I was going to sort and pay in the bank money, find suitable gifts and cards and do the food shopping before JJ arriving...
I then had a disaster as the leg of lamb I was about to cook for lunch/JJs tea hadn't defrosted enough and as I hadn't been shopping there was hardly anything in to replace it...so found a couple of jacket potatoes and some tuna so put them in to cook...5 mins before they were finished cooking..you'll never believe what happened !!!!!!!!!...11.45 am DD1 walks in with JJ asking if she could leave him now as she had to go to work...I had nothing in for his lunch as had a disaster with the lamb and thought well I'll get something simple in for his tea when I go shopping!!!! I was fuming with her as she didn't even phone first and don't know what she would've done if I wasn't in.When I asked him if he was hungry he said no as he'd just had his breakfast.
I had to rethink my plans then as everything takes more time when you've got an 8 year old in tow especially one that would need feeding whilst we were out.
I decided not to sort the banking out and will do that in the morning. We drove to the baby shop in Lytham where we managed to get a lovely outfit, socks and big pink fluffy bunny plus cards. Then walked to a cafe for his lunch where we had to wait for seats and wait for the order as it was mobbed and then wait for the bill so I could pay. Then on to Booths for the shopping and then eventually we were on our way back home eventually getting in at 4.50pm.I had to put all the shopping away, then get him changed and washed to pick DD2 up from work and get to the hospital for 6pm...
Had plenty of squidgy baby cuddles and on the way home gave in to Mcdonalds for us 3 as couldn't be bothered cooking...showered JJ,made his bed up and put him in it and then cooked the lamb ready for tomorrow....what a day!!!
This grandma is quite tired already and got none of her planned jobs done today...never mind tomorrow is a new day x

What a day you had - I bet you will be shattered today!!

I often cook my lamb from frozen - I just cook it on a lower temp for longer and it always tastes delicious (and no one has got ill yet).

I am a dab hand at this as we have so much lamb in the freezer from when our boys went for slaughter recently that I know we have lamb every Sunday but still never get it out to defrost!!!

Wow, Taxi, it all got a lot more complex, didn't it! Glad you got it sorted - love the thing about you not tempting fate, but it really sounds like everything just piled up today, and came at once :( Sounds like you dealt with it really well tho.

I've been absolutely exhausted/fatigued today and nothing seems to be helping it so will have to go with the flow and am doing abasolutely nothing today...luckily DD2 is off work today so has taken JJ out for a bit...me I'm just lying on the couch trying to ignore the mess around me.
