Coo, Taxi, you did a lot! Good for you - and good for you about leaving the next 6 days to not think about all of *that* - hope you still have energy today.

    Morning all,
I'm quite tired this morning as Ben decided to wake me from a deep sleep this morning when the postman came at 10 am..I should've been up anyway..lol
BEANIE...thank you very much for the painting which is now on my sideboard and the card..they are lovely.I do hope the MP comes good for you x
This morning I'll just be drinking tea and catching up on computer stuff before MH nurse comes this afternoon.
Tomorrow as it's the 1st of the month I'll start a new accounts envelope so that I can keep up from now on and then over the next few days will catch up between Aug and Jan accounts so I'm completely up to date...keep looking at the mess but can't get motivated to do it but needs must as it's starting to annoy me.
Put another £169 odd in the ISA savings this morning. This is the account we save the tax money in and there is nearly £3000 in there. At the moment it gets 3% interest but when that runs out will probably go in the 123 account where it will still get 3% interest as it looks like ISA rates are going to be really bad this year..
It's not worth trying to pay extra off my offset mortgage as the rate is only 0.99%..fantastic move I made there as it's a lifetime one.We only have just over 5 years left but would love to pay it off sooner but overpayments just sit in the pot along side it and then when the pots match up I can pay it off if I want.So.I'm trying to save enough money in accounts paying more interest and hopefully that will work.
The plan is to spend as little as possible in order to do this whilst still trying to have fun.

MH worker has just left. She was talking about joining different groups and gave me a list for the next few months but nothing on there I fancy really.I wouldn't mind learning how to make cards so may look up if there's anything like that.I discussed with her about having done the ECDL course last year and that if I'm ever well again would like to get an office job and would like to do some voluntary office work to put what I've learnt in to practice so she'll look in to that when I'm ready.
Everything relies on what my results are next week...hate this cancer as it has taken so much away from me....confidence,planning for the future, being able to lose weight to get healthy as not allowed to follow a diet plan, took the fun out of life and so on and so on.

Ordered £18 from paypal earlier and it was in my back within minutes.I never knew they did FP as it always used to take a good few days before. Also just remembered I have quite a few lottery tickets here that are winners that need cashing in as they've been sat about ages so must do that...

    I hate medication I don't even take a paracetamol

Do you think it's something that you develop when you've not been well / are on or have been on really horrid drugs?

I hate taking paracetamol etc too - I'm choked with the cold (typical - finished my extra drugs to try to prop up my immune system last Thursday ... and had cold by Tuesday ) ..... my boss said to me today " have you taken anything for it?" (the cold) to which I replied "no" - I did give in eventually but it usually takes me having suffered from a headache etc for hours before I do:o

I understand you totally recently had camera down the throat and flatly refused sedation not because I am big and tough but I am scared/terrified of being sedated....

I'm definitely of the knock me out school.

Ohhhh I'm a "knock out at every possible thing" type of gal :o recently had to have the camera (unfortunately up the way shall we say!) - having put it off for at least 3 years (constant nagging by consultant and constant refusal by me as I can still describe in intricate detail the last one which was around 15 years ago!) it had to be done when I was admitted to hospital .... I asked to be sedated and happy to say ... I remember being in the room when they wheeled me in, chatting to the people there and ..... that's it until I woke up back on the ward :T:T much better for me and I will insist on that when I have to get the next one!

Taxi (((hugs))) - card making's great & it's really lovely to get one from someone that's obviously put a lot of time & effort into it .... pottery's quite good too if you don't mind getting your hands dirty!

Card making sounds ace. I started it a few years ago but one very personalised Christmas Card took me about 8 hours and cost in the region of a small country :rotfl: I still think it was superb tho :o

If you could do any activity what would really excite you?

Fair point. It's a huge change going from non-stop activity to having to slow down and deal with this.

I always wanted to learn another language but despite my best efforts (which were poor) I was incredibly pants at it.
