    Morning Taxi!

You know what, its a bad time of year to turn over a new leaf, its so grey and cold and snowy and windy ... anything you can do, anything, is good. You're right about getting dressed, even if you're in trackie bottoms and hoodie, thats a big step up from staying in your dressing gown. And, Taxi, the psychologist and coach or whowever, they may well use CBT for you to *get* out of the door - not just once you are out - someone just becoming agoraphobic is a prime candidate for having CBT to help with those symptoms. Now that you're in the system for that form of help, they'll keep going - my sister was assessed for CBT help last year, and was awarded 20 sessions, which she took fortnightly, for instance, so I know they do *try* to provide whats best for you.

Take it easy - heavy winds today, not a nice environment out there! Just open the door and take a few deep breaths, and call it a day :kisses3:

Taxi please apply for DLA..... The forms are not great to fill in but someone at the hospital will be able to give you the names who are able to help you. As Beanie says this is all changing in April apply now. I work for the DWP , and I know the difference DLA can make ... not just for the extra money to help you.. but sometimes it is a passport for other provision.x

Would you like me to find a few names to help you fill in the forms in the Blackpool area??? I will pm you...
  • Another vote for DLA, it's a tough form but its amazing how much difference the money can make

I'll apply for DLA then but think I need to wait until next week to fill in the form as I'll know where I'm up to then.I'll have to have a think who to get to help me fill it in.

Today,I got dressed as I had to and went to see psychologist guy by myself...so that's an achievement.
I have to go to see my oncologist next week for my results/plan so he's coming with me as I'm scared of what my reaction will be if they say I need chemo again.
He wants to then take me to the new chemo unit to start trying to desensitise me.It may help me as it is brand new so I have no associations in my mind with it anyway.

Tomorrow my MH nurse is coming to help with getting me out and about

I popped in to the PO and paid DH national insurance bill and in to the little Tesco next door to it for milk and straight back home which I was glad to be home.
