Sending love and best wishes to all of you who are worried and ill at the moment. Wishing so hard that you will all receive good news and soon be back to your 'old' selves.
It is just mind-blowing that people who are coping with so much physically and psychologically at these incredibly difficult times are so messed about and frustrated by the organisational systems. They seem to have cut so many posts at hospitals nowadays and they obviously let the good staff go and kept the inefficient ones:eek:.
When my sister-in-law was visiting my brother when he was in for his op she said there were loads of staff outside with banners and placards protesting about the next batch of planned job cuts. Apparently they are scheduled to shed about 300 this time! I know it is a big hospital but how can they they lose 300:eek::eek::eek:. It makes you wonder what jobs those 300 (now considered inessential) are doing at the moment. Probably wandering round with files and bits of paper (I've seen plenty of them, not nurses as such but they wear uniforms) just putting in the hours in a totally inefficient system where no one knows what anyone else is doing.
Sorry, rant over:o. Only came on here to wish taxi and everyone else who is undergoing treatment and recovery the very best of vibes:kisses3:.0 -
Oh Kissjenn really sorry to hear that.. fingers crossed for you everything is okay...
Taxi as usual your concern for others is lovely.. sorry for the rant when you are going through so much..:o just sometimes I feel emotional lol.. husband has Ventricular tachycardia so yes fairly serious but we have learnt to live with it just frustrating when appointments go wrong. I must say though his consultant is lovely the poor man is run so ragged it must frustrate him.. We do not have the best heart clinics in our area. But I must say all the nurses we have met during his numerous stays in hospital have been fantastically caring just so busy... I think the above poster says it all really...
Thinking of you today ... really hope you are okay....xx0 -
Best of luck Taxi.
I saw the Surgeon today for 1st year check-up. New lump so 12 biopsies and another appt for Monday. Ho hum
Bah bah bah bah.
So not what I wanted to hear
Dont be
Big hugs to you & SB.

Not around on mse as much as I used to be, so don't post much. But do keep track of what's happening on your thread Taxi. We've been travelling a lot in the last few years and can't believe how the NHS is changing, there's very nice individuals, but the systems and the flaws in it aren't good, as you and the mse friends on your thread are experiencing. Only very minor things here, but the main thing is to keep going, and keep your own records as much as possible so that you can use the system that's there as much as possible. 3 referral letters in the same envelope to an hospital, only got 1 appointment for 1 of the 3 different consultants as they'd lost the other 2!! When rebooked the info still wasn't there, so it was a 'why are you here?' situation, and the first time unprepared basically wasted a consult
Mini rant over now, and I know you're doing your best to keep on top of the system, hope your treatments and test results are good especially with the big review coming up.

People put up with such horrendous things.... seems to me the redundancies undermine the front line people, and all the admin posts, the high levels anyway, are left untouched - all the admin managers protecting their own backs.
Taxi, and all the others, I hope your treatments, and your assessments, are heading the right way, it must be unbelievably difficult to deal with this level of admin incompetence when your health is already compromised
Lots of love, Taxi

Don't know where to start....think I am seriously mentally ill...so much so DH has took this week off to look after me.
Went for chemo thursday as planned but had a complete breakdown again...I really don't know what's wrong with me.They brought the councillor in and it didn't help...I just couldn't do it.
I FEEL SUICIDAL AND SCARED....I'M SHAKING ALL THE TIME,WHEN I LIE DOWN TO SLEEP ALL I CAN PICTURE IS THE CHEMO SUITE...I HAVE NO APPETITE AND HAVE EATEN VERY VERY LITTLE IN THE LAST 4 DAYS
they have stopped my chemo saying that I've refused treatment
made an emergency appt for onc and he says to have my scan friday and we'll take it from there and is trying to get psychiatrist team to see me
Please god let the cancer have gone and let my head be sorted...don't know how long I can carry on for ...
I don't seem to be able to do the chemo so will die anyway if I can't sort my head out if the cancers still there..really don't know how I can overcome this0
