Went to see oncologist and am now back on the Taxol/Avastin combination starting this weds.

Had my bloods took whilst there which saves a trip to the hospital today.

DH has been off work for a few days with his back.He had his medical this morning for the insurance and they are going to arrange physio for him which is good as we can't afford to pay for it...it's been quite nice having him here for a few days though not that we've done anything.
Think he's going to work in the morning though.

pest about Boxing Day but I guess the fight does go on.

Hope DH's back gets better, good on the insurance!

sorry I didn't explain properly chemo would be due on boxing day but they are not working so I was hoping that I could miss it out altogether that week but onc won't let me so guess it will be given on the thursday or friday instead which will alter my chemo day permanently no doubt.

Avastin is given by drip fortnightly at the moment and Taxol is given weekly by drip.
So to today will be given Taxol and Avastin
Next week Taxol
Week after Taxol and Avastin and so on

Taxol is due to finish in a few weeks then I'll have a scan and if it's shrunk they'll keep me on Avastin if it hasn't worked I don't know what the answer is

Was very naughty yesterday and walked out of chemo unit as had a meltdown and was sick of waiting to cut a long story short am having it at 8.30 this morning

Ahhhh but you has every right to look after your mental health, the new appointments will work out better ( I hope) although we do need to discuss what mischief you intend to get up to ?

Anyone got any ideas on what taxi can get up to

I'm glad they understood, Taxi, and that you can have it this morning - don't know if each appointment is like a little day operation thing, but my sense is that the earlier you have it, the less likely to be delayed. Hope its all going smoothly today
