Went to see oncologist and am now back on the Taxol/Avastin combination starting this weds.
He's booking me a scan for the week beginning 14th Jan and then probably wants to keep me on Avastin permanently if it's worked.
He won't let me miss the 26th dec chemo though due to the way weekly chemo works so guess I'll be on thursday or friday that week
Had my bloods took whilst there which saves a trip to the hospital today.

DH has been off work for a few days with his back.He had his medical this morning for the insurance and they are going to arrange physio for him which is good as we can't afford to pay for it...it's been quite nice having him here for a few days though not that we've done anything.
Think he's going to work in the morning though.
    Nothing else happening here

That doesn't sound too bad in the scheme of things. It is horrible having to take so many drugs but if it clears things in the long run, it's got to be worth it.

B*mmer about Boxing day chemo though, hopefully plenty of people around to take you though.

    love as always

I can see the importance of having regular treatment but what bad luck that it falls on Boxing Day. Perhaps you can designate 27 or 28 as B Day instead?!

Designating another day as Boxing Day is a good idea - a beloved cousin of mine is having Christmas Day on the 15th this year, its the only way she can see all of her kids!

The Avastin sounds good, Taxi, very hopeful - horrible about the appointment on Boxing Day, of course, but the fight goes on. Taking a tablet forever doesn't sound wonderful, of course, but then we eat every day - I'm sure it can be fitted in somewhere. I realise I'm assuming its a tablet, I don't even know that, sorry Taxi :(

I'm glad you've had DH around for a few days, thats good, though I *also* hope his back improves - how contradictory we can be, sometimes!

    Sending you love

Sorry to hear your Boxing Day is getting mucked about, just thank whatever you hold Holy that you don't have a Tuesday appointment or they would have dragged you in on Christmas Day by the sounds of it
